Chapter 209 After helping a few colleagues with their own headaches, Serena finally managed to track down Keeley, the watch repairman.
She handed over the newly restored Omega for him to see.
But she didn't dare admit she'd fixed it herself.
"Keeley, what do you think of the repair job on this watch?" Keeley blinked in surprise as soon as he laid eyes on it, then looked up sharply. "Where did you get this watch?" Serena looked genuinely puzzled. "Oh... A friend gave it to me." Keeley sucked in a breath, his eyes wide. "That friend of yours-by any chance, is their last nGrayson?" Serena's jaw dropped. "How did you know?" A gleam flashed in Keeley's grin, showing off a gold tooth. "This is the keepsake Mrs. Grayson gave to Young Master William Grayson's father. When William's parents got married, it was the talk of all Northspire. The wedding gifts alone filled a dozen trucks. But for old Keeley here, only this watch ever caught my eye." Serena's mind went blank.
Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined that this battered old watch was the symbol of William's parents' love.
He must be out of his mind.

Keeley leaned in, clearly intrigued. "So, this Grayson friend of yours-is it William or his father? And...who fixed this watch?" His eyes nearly popped from their sockets. "These tiny parts-someone custom made them, didn't they? Incredible! Serena, whoever repaired this is a real talent. You have to introduce me." Serena's thoughts were spinning. "I... Keeley, I've got to run. Something just cup." Clutching the watch, she hurried out in a fluster.
Keeley watched her go, utterly baffled.
Even as the workday ended, Serena's mind was still a mess.
Why would William trust her with something so precious? "Serena! It really is you!" She'd barely stepped out of the restoration center when a booming voice startled her.
Before she could even see who it was, someone bounded over and wrapped her in a bear hug. "Oh my God, it's really you! I thought I was seeing things!" It took Serena a few seconds of rummaging through old memories before she finally recognized her.
Gabrielle Chatham.
Her old desk mate from middle school.
Back then, Gabrielle's grades were so terrible that her parents shipped her off to boarding school overseas right after graduation.
They'd lost touch after that.
Serena never expected to run into her here.
It took a while, but Gabrielle finally released her, eyes brimming with tears.
She dabbed at the corners of her eyes. "What's with that look? Don't tellyou've forgotten me?"
Serena replied, "If I'd forgotten you, I'd probably be screaming for help right now Gabrielle burst out laughing through her tears.

It was as if ten years had vanished in an instant.
When they arrived at the bar, Gabrielle gave her phone number at the door. The staff immediately led them to a huge private room.
The place was already packed-every single person there was a woman.
When they spotted Serena beside Gabrielle, a few faces shifted, their expressions hardening.
Gabrielle started to introduce her, but before she could finish, a shrill voice Yoice cut in. "No need for introductions.
That's the famous Miss Sullivan-Aaron's number one lapdog. Everyone knows her, right?"
