Chapter 115 "Aaron, letgo!" Serena had had enough of the power imbalance between them.
If she had known, she would have hit the gym to build sstrength rather than just focusing on toning.
Aaron kicked open the door to the master bedroom.
Seeing the large bed in the center of the room, Serena struggled even more fiercely.
But all her efforts were in vain.
In just a few seconds, Aaron reached the bed and set her down.
Serena sank into the soft mattress before she could react.
Before she knew it, Aaron's towering figure loomed over her.
His kiss was devoid of tenderness, carrying an almost punishing, predatory intent that left Serena breathless.
Her shirt was yanked open roughly, the cold air hitting her skin and making her eyes widen in fear.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTears welled up and spilled over.
Aaron frowned, his actions pausing for a moment, but in the next second, like an enraged predator, he moved even more aggressively.
"Stop! Aaron, I said stop!" Serena's voice shook uncontrollably.
Aaron showed no sign of halting.
In desperation, Serena glanced up at the bedside lamp.
Beneath her, Aaron's fingers had already begun to undo the waistband of her pants.
She bit her lip hard, reached out, and grabbed the lamp, swinging it down onto Aaron's head with all her might.
Thud.
The room fell silent for several seconds.
Aaron remained kneeling over Serena, his expression dark enough to drip with anger.
A glimmer of disbelief flickered in his eyes.
Serena bit her lip in fear.
She didn't regret hitting Aaron.
She was terrified of how he might retaliate.
"You..." She gripped the lamp tightly, "Don't ccloser, if you do..." Aaron stared at the frightened Serena, and suddenly, it was as if something clicked in his mind, his aggression dissipating like a retreating tide.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you." Serena was taken aback.
Aaron moved forward and embraced her, "All those bad things, they're in the past now." Serena shivered but restrained the urge to push Aaron away.
Her mind flashed back to the first tAaron mentioned she was a victim.
So...
Aaron didn't touch her because he thought she had been attacked before? It wasn't because of what Cynthia Lynwood had said, nor was it svow of chastity for Cynthia Lynwood? But... that didn't add up.
She had never been in such a situation. Why did Aaron have this misunderstanding? Even if Cynthia Lynwood had told him, why would Aaron believe it without any evidence? Serena's mind was a jumbled mess.
Gradually, her body stopped trembling.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSensing that Serena was no longer afraid, Aaron finally relaxed.
It was then he noticed a sticky sensation slowly trickling down his forehead.
He reached up, touched his head, and found his hand covered in blood.
He released Serena.
Serena looked up and saw the blood on Aaron's face.
But she just watched silently, saying nothing.
Aaron felt a pang in his heart.
In the past, if Serena had seen him hurt, she would have been more m e worried than he was.
"Serena, can we talk calmly?"
Aaron grabbed a towel, hastily wiped the blood from his face, and then took a seat on the sofa by the bed. Serena, however, still held onto the lamp.
Aaron rubbed his temples, "William surviving in the treacherous Grayson family isn't simple. Engaging with him won't do you any good."
