Chapter 107 His sister was three years older than him, around the sage as Serena. She had always been kind to him. But when she turned ten, she suddenly vanished without a trace. It was as if she had evaporated from the world, and she was never found again.
Becoming a private detective was partly Rock's quest to find his sister. He shook off the memories and refocused, responding to Serena's message.
Serena was running a bath when she heard the notification. She picked up her phone.

Rock replied quickly, "Got it." Serena turned off the tap and placed her phone on the shelf, sinking into the bath. She added a few drops of rose oil, the fragrance wafting through the room, slowly easing the tension in her muscles. She leaned back, closed her eyes, and savored the rare moment of tranquility.
However, the peace was short-lived. The bathroom door was suddenly kicked open with force, and Aaron, reeking of alcohol, staggered in. His shirt collar was undone, revealing a well-defined collarbone. His features, usually sharp and intimidating, seemed more disheveled under the influence.
His deep, dark eyes fixed on Serena like black holes, pulling her into his gaze. Before she could react, Aaron's towering figure moved toward her, and his large hand cupped the back of her head. A wave of passion hit Serena like a tidal wave.
Caught off guard, Serena's first instinct was to bite Aaron, but he seemed to anticipate her move, holding her jaw firmly. She was trapped, forced to endure his fervent embrace. The temperature in the bathroom began to rise. Serena's eyes darted down, focusing on Aaron's most vulnerable spot. She squeezed her eyes shut and grasped firmly.
A pained groan echoed through the room.
Aaron released her, his expression darkening as the alcohol's haze lifted. "Serena!" Seizing the moment, Serena wrapped a towel around herself. "Serves you right!" she snapped, striding out of the room.
Aaron rubbed his temples, his gaze growing more foreboding. He followed her out, watching her retreating figure. "You agreed to the substitute marriage because your sister's fiancé is William, didn't you?" Serena paused in her search for clothes. "What do you mean by that?" "William might be disabled, but he's still Young Master William. Marrying him guarantees a life of luxury." "So, you're saying I agreed to marry him for the money?" Serena turned, her clear, beautiful eyes fixed on Aaron. His lips parted slightly. That wasn't what he meant.

"Well, you guessed right," Serena said with a charming smile smile wantton marry William/because he's wealthy and won't be unfaithful." Aaron's face turned icy. "Serena, you've crossed the line!"
Crossed the line? Serena's lips curled into a mocking smile. Despite everything, Aaron still didn't om understand why she was standing in for Bella to marry William. Ultimately, it showed how little he cared. He never treated Cynthia Lynwood this way. He knew every detail about her life, even her daily meal plans were saved in his phone.
"Mr. Vance, I'm going to change now. Could you please leave?" Serena asked sweetly, suppressing the bitterness in her heart.
In the soft light, her delicate features were as captivating as a blooming flower. Aaron's heart skipped a beat, as his clenched fists relaxed and tightened again.
