Chapter 56
“Where will you take me?” Lilac felt bored to ask Hunter this question over and over again, since he didn’t give her any clue or
explanation.
And as if Hunter could read what was in Lilac’s mind, he voiced out her grievances. “Don’t you feel bored to ask the same
question?”
“Yes, I am!” Lilac hissed. “If you knew it, why don’t you answer me?”
Hunter laughed to see her small face scrunched annoyingly. She couldn’t understand why he loved to tease her because it was
not funny at all.
“Can’t you guess? Give me your best guest and maybe the answer will be one of those.”
“Why don’t we not waste our time with you just answer the question?” Lilac
retorted.
“Where the fun part then if I simply answered it for you.”
“I don’t think this is fun at all.” Lilac looked around her, Hunter took her inside the forest and in the distance, she could hear the
sound of the waterfall, based on how the sound was gradually clearer, she was sure they were heading toward that waterfall.
However, she couldn’t tell why this man was adamant to take her here.
“You want to kill me?” Lilac blurted out her answer and Hunter laughed so hard, his voice echoed in this forest, scared the birds
that perched on the branches.
“Did you really just say that?” Hunter grinned to see Lilac’s unhappy expression. “You are very interesting. See? This is not my
lost to get you out from that hellish pack. You can entertain me for the rest of our life.”
“Don’t say it as if I have to be stuck with you for the rest of my life, that’s terrifying”
hand. “Technically speaking, you will stuck with me for the rest of your life, since you will stay in my pack, became part of my
pack until the day you grew old and die, you will be buried here too.”
Lilac grimaced, she just arrived at this pack last night and here Hunter was talking about a lifetime in this pack and also the
death.
Chapter Sti
“Cane we not go ahead with that scary thing?” Lilac pursed her l*ps. “So, where are we going now? If you didn’t come here to kill
me, then maybe you take me here to show me something.”
“You are right!” Hunter leaned over and k*ssed her forehead, which made Lilac pushed him away.
“What is that for?!” She was angry, but blushing at the same time, her heart was thumping wildly and she was annoyed with
herself with how her b*dy reacted to his brazen move.
She should slap him, right? But, why she didn’t do that? Instead, she glared at him, as if it meant anything.
“Because you have guessed it right!”
“I told you don’t ever do that again!”
“Okay. I am sorry, next time I will ask for your permission.” Hunter raised both of his hands, indicating he understood and for her
to stop being hostile with him.
Seizing the chance, he didn’t hold her hand, Lilac walked away from him toward the sound of the waterfall. “Then you can
interpret that as never.” Because if it was up to her, she would never let him did that.
However, no one really knew what the future held, right?
“Heaven...” Lilac held her breath to see the breathtaking scenery before her eyes once she emerged from the lines of the trees
that surrounded this place.
Right before her eyes, there were a magnificent waterfall, with water that torrent down from up the mountain down to create a
beautiful lake. She watched this beautiful sight in awe, because in her pack, there was no view like this. They barely had a river
a hard time to find
water.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Hunter glanced at Lilac. He loved to tease her, but the sight of her when she was being mesmerized like this
was his favorite.
“Yes, it is.” Lilac even forgot about how annoying Hunter was a moment ago when she answered his question. “It is very
beautiful.”
Hunter stared at Lilac. He was slightly frowning. “Aside from beautiful, is there something that you remember about this
waterfall?”

“Hm?” Lilac blinked her eyes and finally could get out from the spell and looked at Hunter. “What do you. mean?”
“This scenery. Does it bring back an old memory?” Hunter asked again, he walked closer to Lilac, his expression was serious,
which made Lilac was a little bit taken. aback, because he rarely gave her this kind of look ever since they met.
“An old memory?” Lilac frowned. “What do you mean with an old memory?”
Hunter took Lilac’s hand and then brought her close to the lake that was created by waterfall. It seemed, this lake was the
headwaters that created smaller rivers.
“Come here.” Hunter then went into the lake, which made Lilac protested because she didn’t want to wet herself, which was too
late, because Hunter had pulled her down to the water as well.
“Hunter! What are you doing?!” Lilac was surprised the water was actually warm enough to her skin.
“Calm down, I want you to remember something.”
“What should I remember?”
“Something important.”
Lilac wanted to argue with him again, but in the end, she clamped her mouth, because Hunter didn’t leave any room for
argumentation. He kept holding her hand and taking her close to the waterfall.
“What are you doing?”
Hunter helped her to climb the rock and only then, Lilac realized there was an area like a cave behind the waterfall.
“Don’t you remember this too?”
