Chapter 5
“Lailah, over here, over here,”
As soon as | got off the plane, | saw my little niece waving her little hand in the crowd.
With a smile on my face, | lifted my niece up and said to my sister, “It’s late at night, | told you that you didn’t
need to cand pickup.”
“You thought | wanted to come. It’s all because of you, my precious niece, who kept nagging to meet you, you
silly aunt.”
My sister reached out and hugged me, inadvertently glancing at my flat stomach with a heart full of
tenderness.
Just as | was about to comfort her, she unexpectedly pinched my face and scowled at me, complaining that | was
as thin as a stick.
“Starting from tomorrow, every day | had to drink a bowl of lobster soup, whether I liked it or not, there was no
room for negotiation.”
“Okay, whatever you say is what it is, because you are my only sister.”
| sniffed my sour nose, holding my niece in my arms, and got into my sister's car. The three of us chatted and
laughed all the way back home.
Even though it was already 4 o'clock in the morning, my parents were still sitting in the living
room.

After confirming that my sister and | had safely returned home, they happily went back to their rooms to sleep,
only after drinking our favorite childhood honey iced tea.
After finishing washing up, | lay on the bed for a few minutes, and as someone who had difficulty falling asleep, |
slept quickly and deeply.
No pain, no more wandering.
Because | finally returned to my true home.
On the third day after arriving home, my parents booked a private room in a restaurant and informed all our
relatives to welcme and helprelax.
Just as my welcbanquet was in full swing, filled with laughter and joy, a deliveryman arrived at the door and
announced my name.
My little niece, who often fetched takeout for her mother, would run over, holding the delivery box, and bounce
back to my side.

Having already learned how to read, she said in a childish voice, “Auntie, it’s something sent to you by a man
named Mr. Klein...”
After thinking for a while, | finally opened the package.
Inside is a new mobile phone.
Just as | was at a loss, this phone suddenly rang.
Faced with the concerned gazes from my family, | instinctively picked up my phone and went to a
quieter corner.
After hesitating for a while, | finally pressed the dial button.
Tyrell’s voice, as always, was cold and indifferent, “Lailah, how cyou didn’t say a word when
you went to your parents’ house?”
| asked him back, “Why should | tell you?”
After a moment of silence, the man deliberately slowed down his tone and said, “I tried contacting you with
several different numbers, but your phone was always turned off... So, | was worried about
you.”
| had my phone set to ignore all unfamiliar numbers. | blinked and said, “Just for this, you went through the
trouble of using illegal means to trackdown and senta broken phone right in front of my family?”
| couldn’t help but ask him, “Tyrell, are you out of your mind?”
We had been in a relationship for many years, and the man had never received any criticism or
insults from me.
Even through the phone, | could imagine how ugly his expression had become.
However, even so, he still did not hang up the phone.
“Lailah, you know my personality, | have limited patience, so it’s best for you to stop while you're
ahead...”

| interrupted the man’s nonsense and impatiently asked him what he wanted to say.
Taking a deep breath, Tyrell said in a deep voice, “For the sake of the child, | won't argue with you about this
runaway incident.”
| have already bought you a return ticket to the city for next week. By then, Lucia and I will go to the airport to
pick you up.

Upon hearing this, | almost burst out laughing, “Where did the child cfrom? The child in my
belly is long gone.”
There ca sound of shattered objects from Tyrell’s side, “Lailah! How dare you je dont one
child like this!”
With lowered eyes, | tugged at the corners of my mouth and said, “I wasn’t joking with you”
The child is indeed gone. Also, | sincerely want to break up with you...
Before | could finish speaking, the man snorted and sneered, “What child lost, what sincere breakup, aren't you
just trying to forceto admit my mistake?”
Okay, | was wrong.
| was wrong to let you take a taxi hby yourself just because there was something going on a
the company.
Ms. Cooley, | apologize. Are you satisfied?
