Chapter 2251

Kael had always thought of catching Thalia to be as easy as squashing a bug, but now she

was proving to be more like a wild cat-small, unremarkable in appearance, darting in and

out of shadows between the buildings.

His patience, initially abundant, was now running thin.

“Thalia? That’s your name, right? If I were you, I’d come out now. Play nice, and maybe

just maybe I might let you off the hook. But if you keep hiding, sweetheart, it’s gonna be a

whole different ball game. Trust me, you don’t want to see me lose my cool,” Kael called

out, his voice a blend of mock concern and barely concealed threat.

Huddled next to a dingy dumpster, Thalia trembled uncontrollably, biting her lip to stifle

the shakes. The man hunting her, Kael, had done unspeakable things under Diana’s

command, and now he was hell-bent on silencing her for good.

However, Thalia was determined not to go down without a fight.

“Margot, please hurry,” she thought to herself, “I don’t think I can hold out much longer.”

For Balfour, everything had fallen into place with surprising ease. It had only been two

days since Diana had grown impatient and ordered another hit on someone who knew too

much. It was baffling how someone so hasty had previously been overlooked by Colton

and the producer as a suspect.

Now, they all were coming to grips with the extent of the threat Diana posed to their film

crew. A series of tragic accidents hinted at the handiwork of someone as ruthless as

Diana.

The crew was racing toward Thalia, praying they weren’t too late.

Diana set down her wine glass with an air of nonchalance, her fingers rhythmically tapping

on the table. It didn’t matter whether it was Thalia or anyone else-if they stood in her way,

she’d make sure to eliminate them without a trace.

Sweat beaded on Kael’s forehead as he crouched like a lone wolf, sniffing for a scent. The

small, unassuming Thalia was proving to be a real pain to find. With mounting frustration,

he realized he had to wrap this up soon or risk exposing himself.

If he couldn’t finish Thalia off, Diana would surely have a field day mocking him. And while

being the butt of a joke was one thing, Diana was the type to kick someone when they

were down-something Kael feared even though he knew she was the one who should be

worried.

Like a trapped beast, Kael’s temper flared. “Where are you? Come out, come out,

wherever you are!” he bellowed into the darkening cityscape.
