Chapter 911

The reporter was stunned by Nicole's question and was slightly at a loss for words but soon reacted quickly by

adding, "Miss Anderson, you seem to like joking a lot. If I had saved Madam Gould's life, it wouldn't be too much to

ask for this, am I right?"

"That is your opinion. Is there a possibility that you're selectively deaf so you came here to stir up trouble? My dad

has just personally admitted that I am his biological daughter."

Though Nicole was smiling when she spoke, her black eyes didn't contain any emotion. She recalled how Colton

used to have a cold face and tried to copy how he did it. In fact, she seemed to have gotten the gist of it as a lurid

aura immediately radiated from her.

"That might be an excuse to—"

Before the reporter could finish his words, Nicole interrupted him by asking with a smile, "Are you trying to say that

my dad is lying?"

That question instantly shocked the reporter and shut him up.

Though he didn't know Jackson's military rank, he knew that Jackson certainly had a high position within the military.

It would mean offending the entire Wrenn Family if he came off as doubting Jackson's words.

He intended to point his finger at Nicole but didn't expect her to banter her way out with just a few sentences.

As the reporter was reluctant to give up, he bit his lips and was about to ask something else when he heard Nicole

adding, "It's getting late, and I have an engagement ceremony this afternoon. I have to get back and prepare for it,

so if you have any other questions, feel free to ask my dad. If you still have doubts about my identity, you can all

ask for another DNA paternity test. Maybe there was something wrong with the first test, right?"

When she said that, everyone in the room immediately quieted as they thought, If we continue to doubt Nicole's

identity, wouldn't that mean we doubt the Wrenn Family's integrity as well?

The reporters naturally wouldn't dare to offend the Wrenn Family.

After Nicole finished her words, she came down elegantly from the stage. Her movements were so proper that no

one could fault her.

Once she came down, Siobhan went up on stage and swept her cold gaze across the reporter who kept

bombarding questions at Nicole. "Does anyone still have questions about me acknowledging my biological

daughter?"

Siobhan had dominated the business world for many years. Though she married Jackson, others still had to

respectfully address her as "Madam Gould," which showed her status.

When the reporter saw it was Siobhan asking him the question, he immediately backed away.

She sneered as she continued in a sarcastic tone, "You do know when to back down."

The reporter didn't refute it while she left right after she spoke up.

Back inside the car, Siobhan looked at Nicole with an apologetic face. "I've already ordered someone to warn them.

Didn't expect they would be this ignorant."

Meanwhile, Nicole didn't have any complaints and smiled faintly. "It's fine. I've been in even tougher situations

during previous press conferences, so I've gotten used to it."

While Siobhan watched Nicole's calm attitude, a layer of appraisal appeared in Siobhan's eyes as she thought that

the current Nicole was almost identical to her when she was young.

"Let's head back so that you can tidy up. The engagement ceremony will start in the afternoon, so you can have a

short rest too. The makeup artist and stylist will come over at noon to help you get ready."

Nicole acknowledged that with a hum before glancing at her phone. It was almost 10.00PM.

Feeling a sense of tiredness, she couldn't help but yawn. She got in bed late and woke up very early, so she was

already tuckered out. Also, she thought she would fall asleep the first minute she closed her eyes.

"Sure. I'll take a nap when we get home. I'm a little tired," Nicole said while rubbing her eyes.

Siobhan chuckled softly and said nothing else.

It wasn't a long ride from the press conference location to the Gould Residence, and they arrived after about ten

minutes.
