"You!!" An enraged roar blasted through the Dark Void filled with grievance, anger, humiliation, and frustration, including a little exasperation, helplessness, and terror. It belonged to none other than Crimson Moon Librarian Peng Shi!
The Earthly Saint Alchemists of the Endless Voyage Realm and Voyage Tower, a member of vast prestige and influence, was sent reeling back with two others. These two were fully armored Alchemic Knights of his, and their armor was in tatters, crushed in areas glimmering with gorgeous rainbow light. Through their helmets, glistening blood of an Ascended being leaked out as if they were spurts of gushing blood from their mouths. They stood defensively, broken greatswords in hand, in front of and behind Librarian Peng Shi.
While their auras were an utter mess, the area surrounding them was even worse. Several cultivators were unconscious, floating at the edges of the Rainbow World Starfield. These were the lucky ones as there were those who no longer existed in this world, the only signs of their once vibrant existence were viscous lumps of colorful blood.
The rainbow veil engulfing the Rainbow World Starfield was covered in uncountable tendrils of various colors, each color embodying a profound Intent of the Material Dao. In the distance were comets of fleeing mystic light. Some belonged to treasured talismans, others were the result of specially crafted armaments designed for escape or the burning radiance of an ignited Mystic Core and profound Minor Ascension Arts.
Those who came to Shi Peng's call realized how hardy of an iron plate this Rainbow World Starfield and the owner of the True Radiant Star was! Xia Jia was calmly standing behind the veil of the Rainbow World Starfield, her hands were like puppeteers as they moved through the void, with seven nails of hers flickering with Mystic Runes. As those fingers moved, the tendrils whipped about.
"Shit!" Librarian Shi Peng gritted his teeth. Soon after, thousands of tendrils shot towards him at speeds that could frighten any Earthly Saint, and the Alchemic Knight behind him grabbed his shoulder while the Alchemic Knight before him exploded with a wide Mystic Aura, slicing his greatsword and unleashing torrential sword power. The Alchemic Knight behind him executed an Ascension Movement Art at the 6th Way and fled without a single word as several talismans reinforced its speed. Librarian Shi Peng didn't resist, but his eyes were bloodshot with blazing rage and a determined glint of vengeance within his crimson eyes.
"I'll return!! I'LL RETURN!!!" The gushing Alchemic Knight sliced tendrils with incredible speed, not caring in the slightest about the expenditure of Mystic Power. He covered their escape as his Mystic Core ignited! Moreover, he threw out dozens of incredible talismans that unleashed power that was borderline at the Worldly Saint-level.
Xia Jia's exquisite brows furrowed as she tried to control the Rainbow World Starfield array to take down the suicidal Alchemic Knight and reach Shi Peng through the layers of defenses released, and her tendrils lashed out with maddened force unleashing millions of whip lashes, yet the Alchemic Knight was extremely precise and fiercely determined. While the Alchemic Knight was obliterated in a flurry of rainbow lashes, Shi Peng had already escaped out of the range of the array by then.
Her frown deepened as glacial killing intent effused her gaze. Her youthful expression darkened to an extreme. She didn't wish to see them escape, but these Earthly Saint-level invaders were incredibly powerful. Her starfield-wide array was shockingly enough to exceed the strength of the dual True Element Sect's Domain-wide Arrays, the Nine-Divine Elemental Star Array and the Ultimate Elementus, Paramount Jade Array. Not even ordinary Worldly Saints would survive if they were stubborn.
However, the armaments and tools of these Alchemic Knights were disgustingly high-quality and numerous. Earthly Alchemic Saint's! They were too rich for their own good! Moreover, she tried to take whatever wealth that remained, but she discovered that these cultivator's spatial devices were all destroyed by a formation intertwined with their life aura. This type of measure didn't exist within the Grand Cyclic Stellar Region. Not only had she expended an egregious amount of power, but she obtained nothing for it.
After a few minutes, she retracted her Rainbow World Starfield's array, and the starfield resumed its peaceful and dormant state engulfed by a magnificent rainbow veil. Her eyes darted toward a certain section of the Dark Void.
"You enjoyed the show?" Xia Jia indifferently asked. Her mood was far from good.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTens of thousands of miles away from the rainbow veil, a slender figure exited out of concealment with a shimmering of fixed space. "As observant as always," the figure was garbed in violet, their face hooded and indeterminate.
Xia Jia stared at the violet-robed figure. "I'd be a fool not to notice the Unchained Heart Sect's Sect Leader," her voice was rife with mockery.
The violet-robed figure was none other than the Unchained Heart Sect's Sect Leader! The Trueborn's Leader! The violet-robed figure was silent for a while, and then said through a Spiritual Transmission: "Tian Taizong is no longer restrained."
The moment those six words reached Xia Jia's mind, her eyes constricted to needlepoint, her pupils almost vanishing entirely. Her gaze jetted toward the Aeternal Sky Starfield. She coldly spat, "Impossible."
"Liu Yinlan is here as well," the violet-robed figure added as if they had no intent on arguing the situation from Xia Jia's skepticism. Their tone was incredibly gloomy.
Xia Jia's eyes pulsed with seven-colored spiritual light, containing the seven colors of the rainbow, and they peered into the depths of the Grand Cyclic Stellar Region that was engulfed in chaos by the invaders from the Endless Voyage Realm. Her gaze swiftly honed onto the Imperial Clan's Domain as if trying to verify Tian Taizong's status, wanting to find him sitting upon his throne as he had been for the last twenty thousand years.
Unfortunately, a mysterious force prevented her from verifying the situation. Her darkened expression turned pallid.
"How?" Xia Jia's intelligence was not low, and she dared not carelessly live in delusion and doubt the possibility. If it was true, the consequences were far too substantial to ignore. If it was false, all things were right. She hurriedly added, realizing the 'how' was irrelevant now, "Does Liu Yinlan and those from the Endless Voyage Realm know?"
Seeing the chaos unfold in the Grand Cyclic Stellar Region, she couldn't find any sign of those illustrious Worldly Saints. She was still under the belief that Worldly Saints weren't allowed in the Sealed Regions, so they must be adjusting their Cultivation Base to the Earthly Saint level hurriedly for fear of dying to the Sealing Array. If Liu Yinlan was here though, she was bound to attack as soon as her cultivation base acclimated to her suppressed state.
The violet-robed figure answered slowly, "They certainly do not. They're gathering in the Twin Beacon Stellar Region." Unlike Xia Jia, the leader of Trueborn possessed near-divine observation methods that could rival powerful Heavenly Seers through their oval-shaped mirror. Evergod had a similar artifact.
Then, the leader spoke a terrifying bomb to the mind: "The restrictions to the Worldly Saint Phase seemed to have been lifted."
Xia Jia's head whipped toward the leader of Trueborn, her eyes wide and quivering. "W-what?" She uncharastically stuttered out her words, finding the situation was getting wildly out of control. "How?" She was now deeply concerned about this 'how'.
The leader of Trueborn shook their head. "I only have some theories, but it might be related to why the Ascended beings of the Endless Voyage Realm were capable of descending."
Xia Jia was unable to know if this violet-robed cultivator was lying or not, but she wouldn't dare to randomly try to assail her Fifth Ascension at the flimsy words of this person. That could be directly asking for death! However, if Worldly Saints were no longer restricted, then each second she delayed trying to ascend, her situation would become increasingly perilous. While she had trump cards to deal with ordinary Worldly Saints, none of those from the Endless Voyage Realm could be described as 'ordinary', except Liu Yinlan.
"What about those from the Zhangjie Clan?" She asked.
"Likely gathering in the Twin Beacon Stellar Region as well, but I can't determine where. And it's far too large to search if they wish to remain hidden," the leader of Trueborn paused for a moment before saying with a solemn tone, "I know what you're thinking, but Tian Taizong is free."
Those four words, "Tian Taizong is free," were enough to instill an unerasable degree of despair and gloom into countless ancient figures' hearts that had experienced his invincible rise twenty thousand years ago. While he was trapped in the Aeternal Sky Domain all these years, not a single one of them thought he was idle or regressing in his cultivation.
"They need to act now then!" Xia Jia was about to depart to the Twin Beacon Stellar Region, but she immediately stopped and looked toward the Aeternal Sky Starfield, her eyes trembling.
The leader of Trueborn's eyes beneath the hood shone with blinding light as if their eyes had become two world-illuminating lanterns. They turned their head with the speed of lightning, gazing intently toward the Aeternal Sky Starfield in the far distance, and then said with a crisply clear tone of vexation: "This is just an incarnat-"
They could barely get out five words before a gushing, invisible wind swept through the Dark Void from the depths of all three spatial dimensions. Their robe fluttered wildly to the tempest and fragmented like crushed glass.
Boom! They exploded! The invisible, tempest force shattered them entirely, scattering their body as glistening mystic dust throughout the endless corners of the Dark Void as if obeying an Imperial Edict from the vast and boundless ruler of the sky. There was no resistance.
Xia Jia's heart shuddered so intensely that she lurched awkwardly backward. The fear in her chest was visible as her modest bosom heaved forcefully and rapidly. She could barely breathe.
A soft, gentle wind penetrated the rainbow veil, reaching Xia Jia's ears. The wind resembled an unrestrained Emperor roaming throughout his lands. There was no hindering its movements. The wind carried a message that reached Xia Jia's ears.
"Stay. When all this is over, I'll bring you back home." A soft voice filled with boundlessly majestic might caused the rainbow veil to quiver slightly from inside and out.
"..." Xia Jia's jaw clenched as she restrained her unbridled horror, trying to display none of the rampant fear currently raging in her heart.
"Understand?" The voice erupted with an imposing might that brokered no argument.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmXia Jia could only close her eyes and nod her head slowly.
Then, the majestic presence dissipated entirely.
BOOM!!! A thunderous sound swept across the Dark Void! It was extremely familiar, something she had heard a few times in her lifetime. It was the destruction of a Shadow Egg! She looked away. He was giving them an unforgettable lesson and a clear reminder of who he was.
Tian Taizong, the Aeternal Sky Divine Emperor. And he was no longer restrained!
Born True Starfield, the Central Shadow Egg. Within the grand hall, the violet-robed figure suddenly belched out a pained roar, holding their chest as they reeled back a few steps from the mirror. Blood leaked out of their orifices, dripping onto the floor and forming a small pool. The backlash of losing a cultivated Avatar that took thousands of years to produce with precious resources was far greater than losing a simple Incarnation. It could serve as a second life.
They had lost a life! Additionally, that cultivated Avatar contained sufficient strength to rival an above-average Earthly Saint, while a simple Incarnation would barely be as strong as an ordinary Demi-Mystic Lord.
Through their labored breath, they breathily said to themselves: "He's already reached that level..." The situation was growing worse by the moment. As for the destruction of the Shadow Egg, they could only sigh helplessly.
Wei Wuyin lay comfortably on the asteroid, not a single piece of clothing on his body, exposing his immaculate muscles and physique that pulsed with veins carrying terrifying True Dragon blood and a faint aura of inexhaustible eternity.
He wore a content, relaxed, and extremely pleased expression that any man would be able to understand at a single glance.
BOOM!!! Suddenly, the Shadow Egg exploded.
A head popped up from between Wei Wuyin's legs like a startled bunny. "What was that?" Xue Yifei's hazel eyes glistened as she asked, her voice somewhat sore and messy with too much saliva.
"Just a few kids playing around," Wei Wuyin casually answered, not even opening his eyes to look.
Xue Yifei's eyes brightened. "Mm," She softly voiced as she slipped back down. Since Wei Wuyin wasn't concerned, she didn't have any reason to care.
Meanwhile, Wu Yu's spiritual transmission came in. They found the first target! Wei Wuyin was too lazy to respond, immersing himself in the beautiful throaty sounds and the even more beautiful feeling of being enveloped by luscious lips and an agile tongue.
The Twin Beacon Stellar Region was an abandoned stellar region that had a small portion of its territory taken by the prosperous Grand Cyclic Stellar Region. As such, it neighbored the Grand Cyclic Stellar Region. However, that was both a fortune and a blessing as its territory was often siphoned of everything valuable by the Void Pirates and Void Hunters seeking gains.
Currently, it has become the temporary gathering place for the Worldly Saints of the Endless Voyage Realm!
"You're right, this is a good location to establish a starfield to serve as our base of operations."
