Chapter 349 Don’t Come Closer!
Everyone in the house was asleep at this moment. Freya quietly went downstairs, crossed the corridor, and arrived
at the basement door.
Although this villa was frequently unoccupied, she had prepared quite a few ‘toys’ in the past.
After opening the door, Freya activated the trap she had set up at the entrance.
After completing the iris authentication, a safe door slowly opened from the wall, and Freya walked in wearing a
nightgown.
Various cold weapons hung on the wall, and she chose a modified crossbow and a few medicine bottles.
The power of this modified crossbow surpassed that of most firearms in close combat.
She tightly pursed her lips, her face as cold as ice.
After preparing some weapons, she returned to her bedroom with everything.
Freya placed the items under the bed and lay down on it. Today, she needed a good night’s sleep to rest up and
have the energy to save Jolly tomorrow.
The next day.
In the early morning, Sylvia came to wake Freya up for breakfast.
Braxton was busy investigating the arsonist for the past three days and searching for Jolly’s whereabouts. He was
almost invisible all day long.
Freya received messages from Chris and Mikael, knowing that Radley’s side was using all available manpower to
investigate.
Even the Hood family was helping.
Yet, despite the efforts of the three families, it should have been found even if it was just an ant in Caltun. However,
there was not a single clue about the arsonist.
After breakfast, Freya pretended to look tired and said, “Mom, I’m going back to sleep.”
Sylvia nodded and looked worriedly at Freya’s back.
She was also anxious about Jolly’s disappearance but even more worried about her daughter’s emotions.
At 7 p.m., Freya went downstairs to have dinner and returned to her room to sleep early.
After returning to her room, she locked her door and took out the weapons she had prepared long ago, equipping
herself one after another.

Hidden under her clothes were the modified sleeve arrows and crossbow.
Freya took a grappling hook and swung herself to the first floor, disappearing into the woods with a few flashes.
Emerald Dock was an old dock on the Caltun Riverside. It used to be famous a few years ago but has gradually
fallen into disuse recently.

Freya drove out, her face cold.
Indeed, it was a suitable place for carrying out activities away from the public eye!
The night in Caltun was bustling. She drove into a shortcut and a dimly lit road for half an hour.
From here, heading west would lead to Emerald Dock!
Freya’s gaze was cold, filled with a determination to kill!
At Kaufmann Residence.
Braxton had dealt with official business all day and sat directly on the sofa when he got home, holding his head in
his hands, his eyes filled with exhaustion.
Sylvia walked out of the nearby dining room and immediately approached him upon seeing him.
“Brax, any progress with the news today?”
He shook his head. “No, I met with Radley and Matthew today, but they also had no news.”
Sylvia’s hopeful eyes dimmed.
Braxton sighed deeply. “How is Frey? Is she alright?”
She glanced upstairs. “Jolly is missing, so how could Frey be alright? However, she seemed to be in a better state
today. She even ate an extra bowl of rice during dinner.”
As they finished speaking, both of them realized something was wrong.
She suddenly looked up at him, who squinted his eyes and pondered for a moment before standing up and walking
quickly toward the stairs.
They arrived at Freya’s door, and Braxton knocked on it. “Frey, are you there?”
There was no response from inside, and his face turned cold. He knocked on the door louder.
“Frey!”
The room remained silent, and his heart sank. He kicked the door lock forcefully, causing the door to slam open
and hit the wall, making a loud noise!
The room was empty.
He walked into the room with a dark expression, and his gaze fell on the pushed-open window. He quickly ran over
and discovered the rope of the sliding window.
“Something’s wrong!”
Braxton ran outside in big strides and turned to look at Sylvia.
Sylvia’s face turned cold. She forced herself to remain calm in the face of a huge event. “Go, make sure to bring
Frey back safely!”

The wind howled by the riverside.
Freya’s car was driving along the riverside road. In a few more minutes, she would arrive at Emerald Dock.
It was just in time according to the agreed time with the other party!
A sports car was speeding on the opposite side of Caltun Road, almost parallel to Freya.
7:52 p.m.
Freya arrived at Emerald Dock, took out her phone, and stood in front of a landmark building near the
dock.
The building was already deserted, surrounded by overgrown weeds!
Freya looked up and saw the pitch-black sky covered by dark clouds.
She stared at her phone, watching the time. When it exactly struck 8 p.m., a line of text appeared on her phone
screen again.
‘Did you bring the item?”
Freya pursed her lips and raised her voice. “I brought it, but where is my son?”
She wasn’t sure where the person was.
The phone screen displayed a message. Go to Zone D
Following the instructions, she arrived at Zone D. With continuous instructions guiding her along the way, she went
around a few times.
Finally, she exited the dock area and reached a deserted house on the west side. The screen displayed. another
message.
‘Place the book down, then leave and wait outside.
Freya stood before the door and shouted, “I must see my son!”
The other person sent another message. You have no room for negotiation. My patience is limited.’”
She took a deep breath and placed The Compendium of Medical Wisdom down.
Leave this place!”

received a message.
“Your son is in the abandoned building where you were standing just now.”
Her heart skipped a beat, and she immediately started running.
She ran back to the abandoned building and rushed in.
It used to be a landmark building at the Emerald Dock with huge spaces. Freya found her way from the
first floor to the third floor.

She pushed open one dark door after another, her heart beating rapidly!
Freya immediately heard her son crying as she reached the innermost part of the third floor.
The sound was coming from the rooftop.
She turned around and hurried toward the stairs.
A tattered cardboard box was on the rooftop, right in the center of the skylight.
Freya rushed up and found Jolly inside the box.
She reached out to hold him, but suddenly, her phone screen lit up.
You broke your promise.
Freya was startled and shouted, “I didn’t!”
You brought someone with you!”
Freya watched in horror as the skylight lid opened suddenly, and the cardboard box swiftly fell!
“Jolly!” she screamed in agony.
All of a sudden, the surroundings were illuminated by bright lights!
Freya stared blankly as several military vehicles appeared at the edge of the dock, their headlights illuminating the
area.
The helicopter sound could be heard in the distance, flying over the river!
She hurriedly ran downstairs, not caring about anything else. She was desperate to see Jolly!
When Freya reached the third floor, the glass beside her shattered unexpectedly. She instinctively dodged.
contorting her body to the extreme.
A steel arrow was shot at the spot where she had just been standing.
Then, another arrow, swift, precise, and strong, blocked her path across the corridor!
Freya clenched her teeth, hearing a noise from below.
Through the window on the other side, she caught sight of Radley in the bright lights.
He stepped out of the car and swiftly ran in her direction with a group of people!
“Don’t come any closer!” Freya shouted.
