“She’s too busy.” Ben stood at the door. The short little boy talked fluently to Charlie. “Dad, what are you doing? Are
you at work?”
“Yes.”
“I want to see your office.” The two kids were usually at home when they didn’t go to kindergarten. They had never
been to Charlie’s office.
Charlie listened to his son’s voice and said, “Well, I’ll show you in the video.”
He opened the video and saw the little face that looked extremely similar to his appearance on the screen.
Charlie looked at his son, smiled, and turned the camera around to show him his office.
“Wow, it’s huge!” Ben exclaimed. “It’s even bigger than my classroom.”
Charlie heard him and said, “Do you want to come and see it?”

Leonard was eating grapes in his chair. Hearing Ben’s words, he stopped chewing and looked at Ben who was
holding the phone.
Well, he actually wanted to see it as well, but he would not admit it.
Leonard lowered his eyes and continued to eat, telling himself secretly that he didn’t want to see it!
Anyway, he thought Charlie only liked Ben, not him at all.
He was just an unwelcome boy!
On the video call, Charlie said, “Have your mom bring you and Leonard over to see it together.
Then, we’ll go to dinner tonight.”
He called to ask Theresa to go to dinner with him.
However, Theresa did not answer the phone.
Now looking at Ben, Charlie suddenly thought that she might refuse if he asked her.
However, she might say yes if he invited the kids as well.
Thinking that, Charlie felt sorry for himself in his heart. He looked so much like the two kids, but he found that he
was not treated as well as them.
Ben said, “Then I’ll ask Mom.”
With that, he turned to Theresa. “Mom, Dad asked you to take me to his company.”
“Why?” Theresa said. “It’s almost the end of the day.”
He would have done with his work when they got there.
Theresa had already gotten the noodles ready. She stood in front of the stove and asked Charlie, “Why do you want
us to go over?”
“Ben said he wants to see my office. You can bring him over for a tour. By the way, Daphne is treating me to dinner
tonight and I would like you to come along.”
Although the two of them were divorcing, he still wanted to bring her along when he went out to dinner.

With that, she put the noodles onto the plates. After quite a while, she heard Charlie’s voice on the phone. “Okay.”
Soon, Charlie hung up. Ben took the phone and said to Theresa, “Mom, Dad hung up.”
He had wanted to talk to his dad..
Theresa brought out the pasta, looked at the two boys, and said, “Let’s eat, and then we’ll go out.”
It was cold, so Leonard and Ben had been taking classes at home for the past couple of days after their holiday
started. It was a good idea to take them out for some fresh air.
Theresa placed the plates in front of Leonard and Ben. They had equal servings on the same plates. Leonard had
started eating with his fork.
Theresa watched them both eating with sauce around their mouths and smiled. “Is it good?” Leonard nodded. He
put so much into his mouth that his cheeks bulged.
The boy was showing that he really liked it!
Ben said, “Mom’s cooking is the best!”
