Chapter 101
As Liliana spoke, her eyes glistened with unshed tears. Finnian stared at the top of her head, his expression
unreadable.
Feeling a bit anxious, Liliana tugged at his sleeve. "Finn."
"I'm not blaming you, let's just put this behind us," Finnian said. "I hope things like today won't happen again."
Though his tone was distant, Liliana was relieved he wasn't harsher, considering the fact that she indeed had
been at fault. She nodded. "I got it."
"Alright, I'm going upstairs for a bit. You find somewhere to chill."
Finnian headed to Hogan's room, stopping at the doorway and remarked, "You see what a mess you've made
today?"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHogan, a few inches shorter than Finnian and less imposing, was stubbornly defiant. He hung his head and said,
"Finnian, | don't think I did anything wrong! Liliana is pregnant, and pregnancy is tough enough. She's been
through so much. | was just trying to look out for her, for both of you."
"We don't need you to look out for us," Finnian interrupted, his voice icy.
Stepping forward, he continued, "Stop getting involved in nonsense. Think before you act. You're not a kid
anymore; stop doing anything childish."
With that, he turned and left, ignoring Hogan's crestfallen expression.
"Ms. Sullivan, Mr. Kevin Everly wants to see you. Would you cupstairs, please?"
Amara was lounging in the living room when Lisa cto deliver the message. She nodded, got up from the
couch, and followed Lisa upstairs.
In Kevin's room, he clutched Amara's hand and recounted the grievances she suffered today, lamenting how
Finnian, Liliana, and Hogan had all behaved poorly and whatnot.
Then, shifting gears, Kevin asked, "Ama, | heard in one week, your divorce is over, right?"
Amara nodded. "About seven days left."
He sighed deeply, patting her hand. "Ama, | know Finn hasn't been good to you these past years. He's let you
down in ways the family can't make up for. But could you reconsider the divorce?
Finn is still young and doesn't realize how wonderful you are. I'll do my best to teach him what it means to
cherish someone. I'm sure he'll caround and be with you wholeheartedly."
Kevin's words were earnest, and Amara knew he genuinely meant them. But ever since that night at the club,
she'd lost all hope for Finnian. Nothing could sway her.
"Kevin, | know you care fordeeply, like your own granddaughter. No matter what happens, I'll always
remember your kindness. You always be like my grandpa, and I'll never forget your care."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"But," she paused, and then continued, "you don't oweanything. You know how my marriage with Finnian
began. Over the years, you've givenso much. I'm grateful, and you don't need to feel guilty."
Upon hearing it, Kevin started to protest, but Amara quickly interjected, "As for Finnian and me, there's no
possibility of us working out. Please, don't dwell on it."
