Chapter 58:.

Stella silently cursed, “What bad luck!”. Every tshe was with this man, she ended up being misunderstood

because of him. In the end, however, she was always the one who suffered!

Stella sat angrily in the chair next to me, but could not contain herself and finally said, “Don’t getwrong! I'm

just Mr. Kingston's employee, nothing more!”.

Everyone in the room knew that RK was getting married to Sophia next month.

However, they still made it seem as if she and RK were involved in ssort of relationship. To him, this was no

big deal. No matter what was said, they were just playing games.

But she was a woman. If she becentangled with this man, didn’t that mean her reputation was at stake?

Besides, she would be the one labeled as the “mistress” who ruined other people's relationships, right? Y...

She had no interest in earning such a title. Stella Richard still had a reputation to maintain.

Everyone present was silent. Stella's forceful words had dampened the enthusiasm. No one dared to say

anything.

The crowd sighed. This woman had a very bad temper. Everyone else would jump at the chance to associate with

RK, but when it cto her, they just shook their heads.

He had already embarrassed RK in front of the group once, and now, before his boss could say anything, he had

spoken up again....

James seemed to be enjoying the show. He smiled and said, “Rene, looks like you didn’t train her right! Your little

secretary... she’s still got a temper!”.

RK said nothing. He looked lazily at Stella, with his deep blue unreadable eyes, which revealed no emotion.

People couldn’t understand the relationship between them. They had said before that it was a boss and

subordinate relationship, but they hadn't made it clear.

That's why everyone assumed their relationship was ambiguous. But now, it only made people more curious

about their true connection.

“You're very talkative today,” RK said after playing cards, and his eyes bored into Stella's. Their gazes met, and

there seemed to be a fire burning between them. He parted his thin lips slightly and said, “Before the boss asks

a subordinate to speak, the employee should shut up.”

His words were light, but carried an underlying warning, like the calm before the storm. Stella curved her lips and

said nothing.

However, after RK spoke, everyone understood that the man and Stella only had a boss and subordinate

relationship. It was just that everyone had overthought the situation.

“Con! Let's play cards! What are you talking about?” James tried to lighten the mood. Originally, the

atmosphere had been awkward, but Stella’s words had made it even more awkward.

RK looked at Stella and said, “Go getsblack grapes and white wine.”

Did this man think she was his servant? However unwilling she felt, Stella went to get him a plate of black

grapes, simply because he was her boss. Then she poured him a glass of white wine.

She had just sat down when the man next to her again ordered her, “Feed me!”. She gasped.

Stella looked at the people around. Coincidentally, everyone’s eyes were also on the two of them.

Originally, the relationship between the two of them was a mystery, especially when the man’s every move was

observed by others, not to mention what he had just said. Wherever he went, he was like a shining element with

a light of his own, attracting everyone's attention.

Stella tried hard to remain calm. She had publicly clarified their relationship anyway, so perhaps no one would

make a big deal out of it.

Maybe they would think their relationship was purely that of a boss and his employee. Stella didn’t much care.

She didn’t want to worry about what others thought.

He reached out, picked up a black grape, peeled it and popped it into his mouth. It was not polite at all. She

opened her mouth and ate it, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. But when she tried to pull her

hand away, his cold lips brushed her fingers.

Her lips were cold, as was her aloof temperament.

The contact was subtle, but it gave her an inexplicable sensation. Stella stiffened and her hand froze. She felt

mortified in front of so many people and tried to pull her hand away quickly, but RK was the first to let go.

The whole interaction lasted barely a second or two. However, everyone else went back to concentrating on

playing cards, so no one noticed the little exchange between them.

Stella's face turned apple red; she lowered her head. She couldn't even remember the last tshe had been

this close to the man.

Perhaps she had been careless in feeding him? But when she looked at RK’s calm face, as if nothing had

happened, Stella thought she might be overthinking things. Maybe it was just an accident, and she misread the

situation.
