Chapter 373 The Only Solution
Mr. Quintin crossed his hands and said calmly, “If Braden competes with you for custody, what’s your
weak point?”
“I don’t have a weak point.”
Shirley looked fearless and said coldly, “I am the one who has raised the two children. Therefore, Braden
can’t gain their custody.”
“If he were someone else, he couldn’t compete for custody with you. However, he is Braden. The Stewart
Group is behind him. As long as he wants, the judicial system and public opinion will all be on his side. If
you can’t give him a perfect response, the result might not be satisfactory.”
Shirley clenched her hands and became somewhat worried. She said in a low voice, “What is a perfect
response?”
“If Braden competes with you for custody, your weak point is the living conditions you can provide for the
children instead of your wealth or education background.”
Shirley shook her head blankly. “I don’t quite understand.”
“The children need warm and stable living conditions. If Braden gains custody, they would have their
father, grandparents, and the love of a large family.
“As for you, you are the only one left in the Wilson family. Such an incomplete family is detrimental to the
children. If you don’t solve this problem, you will be passive.”
Mr. Quintin analyzed for Shirley.
Although it was cruel, it was the truth.
Shirley was no longer confident and firm, and her eyes gradually dimmed, but she said stubbornly, “So
what? The children have a deep tie with me and won’t leave me. Besides, I have the most capable

“You are so naive…”
Mr. Quintin smiled. “Until the age of eight, children don’t have the right to choose who they want to be
with. As for the lawyers, there are more capable ones. Braden could find someone to fight against your
lawyers.”
Shirley glared at Mr. Quintin angrily. “You said so much all night. What do you mean? You have been
praising him and belittling me. Do you want the children to be taken away by the bastard?”
“No.”
Mr. Quintin shook his head and said solemnly, “I don’t want that to happen, so I will work out a perfect
response with you Then, Braden will have no chance at all.”
“Have you worked it out?”
“Of course.”

Mr. Quintin finally said what he thought. “You and I get married and give the children a complete and
stable family. The children like me, and we can provide them with good conditions for growth and
education. In that case, it will be impossible for Braden to gain custody.”
“You are kidding.”
Shirley’s cheeks were hot with embarrassment. She said, “It’s ridiculous for us to act in front of the
children every day. If we really get married, it’s crazy, and I can’t accept it.”
“It’s just my proposal. It doesn’t matter if you can’t accept it. I hope you don’t regret it when you confront
Braden in court.”
Mr. Quintin leaned back on the sofa leisurely and looked up at the ceiling with a faint smile. “I have to
remind you that Braden will definitely gain custody if he marries another woman.”
That night, Shirley tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.
Although Mr. Quintin’s words were unpleasant, they were based on reality.
Everything was fine if Braden didn’t know about the children. Once he knew, he and Shirley would meet
in the court.
Although Shirley had the three lawyers of the Blosso Law Office, Braden might find a more capable one.
Shirley was not sure whether she could win the lawsuit.
After thinking about it, Shirley realized the only solution was to find a father for the children and form a
stable family.
Did she have to marry Mr. Quintin?
The next day.
After hesitating for a long time, Shirley decided to return the Seven-colored Glazed Cup to Braden.
Although Mr. Quintin said it was magical, that might be untrue. As for the effect of life-prolonging, it must
be a bluff.
Since Shirley knew that, she couldn’t pretend that she didn’t know. If something happened to Braden,
she couldn’t afford that.
Shirley looked at her watch. It was ten in the morning, the time for full-swing work. Shirley believed
Braden was working hard at the Stewart Group.
After Braden confessed his love to her, they parted unhappily. Shirley hadn’t thought about how to face
him again.
In order not to meet Braden, Shirley chose to go to the Stewart’s home at ten.
Howard was watering flowers in the garden. When he saw Shirley walking towards him under the
guidance of the servant, he smiled.

“Shirley, you come to see me. You’re just in time. The tomatoes are mature.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEver since Howard retired, he had been obsessed with planting flowers and vegetables. When he had a
good harvest, he had a sense of accomplishment.
Howard put the picked tomatoes in a basket. Each of them was full in shape and had a rosy color. They
looked delicious.
Shirley didn’t stand on ceremony. She picked one and tasted it. “It’s yummy. It’s a hundred times more
delicious than those in the supermarket.”
“Of course. I grew them. They are not only delicious but also nutritious.”
Howard wiped his sweat proudly.
Shirley remembered that Bennett and Alisha also liked tomatoes, so she asked, “Can I pick some and
bring them home?”
“Of course. The vegetables in the garden are planted for you. You can pick as many as you want.”
Shirley and Howard chatted for a while before Shirley said awkwardly, “Grandpa, I am here to ask you for
a favor.”
“You are welcome. What can I do for you?”
“I don’t know the Seven-colored Glazed Cup is important to Braden. He gave it to me, but I don’t deserve
it. Can you help me return it to him?”
With that, Shirley handed the cup to Howard.
“Ha-ha.”
Howard shook his head with a smile. “You have heard that Braden uses the cup to hold the medicine to
cure his illness. Since he is willing to give such an important thing to you, it means you are the panacea
to cure him. It is reasonable for you to keep it.”
“Well…”
Shirley was stunned and didn’t know what to say.
“Well, I won’t make it difficult for you. Since you are fated to be apart, it is understandable that you want
to return it to him…….”
Howard looked in the direction of Braden’s bedroom and said, “You can leave it in his room. He will
understand when he sees it.”
