Chapter 632
“I know, I know.”
He understood that. How could Isaac possibly be forcing Brittany then?
Seeing Isaac in that state, Emily couldn’t help but think back to the events of five years prior.
When Brittany had just left, Isaac was working day and night, dropping nearly 30 pounds in just a month. He was
like a robot that had its life sucked out of it. Emily had thought that Isaac wouldn’t make it.
Grace Salter tried a bunch of things, but nothing could pull him back.
Thinking about that time, Emily couldn’t help but feel for Isaac.
After Emily left, Isaac went upstairs, finished cleaning himself up, and opened his wardrobe. Inside were clothes
that Brittany had worn before.
Over the years, his room had always kept Brittany’s scent. He reached out, picked up a piece of clothing, and held it
close, as if he could still feel Brittany’s presence.

Before Isaac had even gotten up, Daniel climbed onto his bed, his small hands patting Isaac’s face, “Dad, wake up!”
Isaac opened his eyes, and Daniel in his arms spoke urgently, “Quick, we have to find Mom!”
Looking into his sparkling eyes, a vein popped in Isaac’s forehead.
Despite being his own son, Isaac didn’t hit him.
He put Daniel on the bed and then got up himself.
Daniel was eager to see Brittany and kept pushing him to go. Half an hour later, the father and son were on their
way to the airport.
It was Daniel’s first time leaving Imperial City, and he couldn’t hide his excitement.
He was wearing a little black suit and looked very dashing, holding a small backpack in his hands. Isaac tried to take
it for him, but he wouldn’t allow it.
Holding it like a treasure, he shook his head and said, “Dad, this is a gift for my mom. You can’t touch it!”
Isaac raised an eyebrow, “All these years, and you’ve never given me a gift?”
Daniel was stumped by the question. After a while, he said, “Being there is the greatest confession of love. Isn’t
being with you every day the best gift?”
Isaac couldn’t help but chuckle.
Daniel’s legs were kicking excitedly.
After they arrived at the airport and checked in, Daniel insisted on carrying his backpack himself, which piqued the
curiosity of the staff.
“Hey kiddo, what’s so precious in there? Can we take a look?”
Daniel’s little face turned red, “It’s a gift for my mom.”
His bag had already been checked and didn’t contain anything dangerous, so the staff didn’t give him a hard time.
Once they were on the plane, Daniel seemed a little lost.
It was his first time on a plane, and he was clearly nervous. His little face was flushed as he turned to Isaac and
said, “Dad, I’m kind of scared.” Isaac took out earplugs and a small blanket from his bag and draped them over
him, “Don’t worry, just put on these earplugs and take a nap.”

Isaac adjusted the seat height and covered him with the small blanket.
When the plane took off, Daniel seemed a bit scared.
Isaac held his hand, and he quietly snuggled into his arms.
Orice the plane stabilized, Daniel got sleepy. He yawned and fell asleep in his seat.
Isaac looked down at him, realizing that over the years, he hadn’t spent much time with his son.
Partly because of his busy work schedule, but also because he didn’t know how to deal with Daniel.
Isaac held his hand, not letting go. There was a hint of warmth in his eyes.
When they arrived in H city, Daniel was still asleep.
Isaac carried him off the plane, with Nathan following closely behind.
Daniel was sleeping soundly in Isaac’s arms, too excited the night before to get any sleep.
When they arrived at the hotel where Brittany was staying, Nathan checked them in.
Then he got a call. Whatever the person on the other end said made him look a bit strange.
Isaac put down Daniel, stepped out of the bedroom, and asked, “What’s up?”
“Mr. Salter, it seems like Ms. Dustin is out on a date with an unmarried man.”
