Chapter 598
Isaac knew that Timothy was a businessman. He loved his son deeply, whereas he had to bow to profit.
And how could he remain unwavering in front of such huge benefits?
Timothy clenched the pile of documents in his hand, his knuckles whitening. After a while, he took out a lighter and
burnt them all to ashes:
“I’ll get William to back off,” he said. “But you need to take Brittany and stay away from us!”
Exiting the lounge, Timothy saw William waiting outside the hospital room. He stormed over and slapped him hard.
“You bastard,” he scolded. “Ignoring your mom in the hospital for some girl?”
William took the slap without flinching, “I’m sorry.”
He knew he had disappointed his parents.
But he couldn’t leave.
Brittany was still in the hospital, and he wanted to be with her.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTimothy frowned. “Brittany did something we can’t accept,” he said, “Come with me now.”
“No.”
William refused to leave.
Timothy slapped him again. “William, have some dignity! They’re still married, and you’re playing the third wheel.
Fun, isn’t it?”
Still married?
A look of disbelief flashed in William’s eyes. “Dad, they never got married!”
If they never got married, how could they get divorced?
Isaac stepped out of the lounge, guessing that William had learned the truth. Smiling slightly, he said, “William, I
forgot to tell you. Bri and I got married a while ago. We’re officially husband and wife now.”
William felt like he had been stabbed. Driven by anger, he lunged at Isaac, “Isaac, even now you’re still scheming
against her?!”
Brittany didn’t know about this at all. Isaac had been waiting for this day from the beginning-the day to ruin him and
Brittany completely.
“William, have you lost your mind?”
Timothy let his bodyguards pull William to his feet. He struggled but was dragged away by the bodyguards.
Leaning against the wall, Isaac looked at Timothy, “Timothy, remember what you promised. If you break your word,
I won’t let you off.”
Timothy left the hospital while William was pinned on the car, still struggling.
He walked up, slapped William across the face, and warned, “William, if you care about me and your mom, stay out
of this. Otherwise, we’ll just die!”
William stood there deadpanned.
The bodyguards took this opportunity to shove him into the car. Timothy’s voice echoed, “Keep an eye on him. No
one gets in without my say-so!”
Brittany was transferred to a VIP room, with Isaac by her side all the time.
She had not woken up yet; her face was pale and tired as if she had been tormented. Even in her sleep, her brows

Isaac sat by the bed, holding her hand and massaging her forehead, trying to ease her worries.
Brittany slept for a long time. When she woke up, it felt like there was a fire burning in her throat; the pain was
suffocating.
She opened her eyes to see a white ceiling.
She tried to move her aching body, not wanting to disturb the others in the room.
“You’re awake.”
Isaac saw her open her eyes and immediately called the doctor. Once he confirmed that she was unharmed, he
finally relaxed.
Brittany looked around and didn’t see William. Her eyes welled up with tears.
“Wiljam is gone.” Isaac said.
Brittany was shocked to hear this. She couldn’t imagine how devastating the incident from the night before was for
William,
She tried to get out of bed but noticed the needle in her hand. Without a second thought, she tried to pull it out. But
she was stopped by someone’s firm hands.
