Chapter 670 Risking His Life
Bailey glared at him, full of stubbornness.
Watching him pry her fingers off one by one, she shouted at the top of her lungs, “Edmund, I won't keep the
promise we made in the car if you die now. I wish I lose all my memories after I die and don't meet you in my next
life.”
Her words sounded cruel, making Edmund pause momentarily. A dark look flashed across his eyes.
Don't I stand a chance in my next life too? Never mind. I only want her to live well.
“That's fine too. I have loved you all my life, but you never reciprocated my feelings. We shouldn't meet again in
our next lives. In this way, I may find the love of my life, have children, and live a peaceful life.”
After saying that, he extended his hand again to pry her fingers off.
Utter despair flashed in Bailey's eyes.
If saying so also can't change his mind, I really can't think of any other way to convince him and save his life.
“Edmund, please don't. Please...”
Ignoring her, Edmund raised his head to look at Artemis and said with a smile, “Take good care of her. Her life is
precious, and many have faith in her. If she dies, the world of her family and friends will fall apart too.”
Artemis gave Edmund a thoughtful look.
Even though he didn't want to abandon Edmund to cover for them selfishly, the latter still had a point.
There were still many things Bailey had to do. If she died, everything would be messed up.
“Take care. We will wait for your return.”
Bailey sobbed, “Artemis, don't leave him here. I'm begging you. Don't abandon him.”
Boom!
Suddenly, there was an explosion, splattering snowflakes everywhere.
When Holden dodged, Yvette took the opportunity to break free from his grip and lunged at Bailey.

and I'll die in your hands, so I better take you down with me before I die.”
Artemis was holding Bailey in his arms, so he couldn't fend off Yvette.
Bailey wanted to retaliate, but her entire body had stiffened, and she couldn't lift her arms as she had been stuck in
the snow for so long.
It was precisely because Yvette had noticed her condition that she had lunged forward to grab them tightly and
tried to take them to hell.
Holden wanted to hurry over to kick Yvette away to cover Artemis and Bailey so they could escape.
However, everything was chaotic. Aiming his guns in his hands at the suicide attackers who were charging at him
gave him no chance to help them out.
Bailey hurriedly said to Artemis, “Put me down. I'm only restricting your movements if you carry me, and we'll be in
more danger.”
Artemis hesitated. He glanced at the attackers hiding in the surroundings charging toward them. If I delay this
further, no one can escape.
“All right. Stand among the three of us and don't show yourself or even make a sudden move.”
After saying that, he gave Yvette's calf a hard kick.
As Yvette was not as strong as the men, an immense pain shot through her, making her lose her grip.
Having regained freedom, Artemis hurriedly put Bailey down, who trembled slightly before barely finding her
balance.
Things were much easier for Edmund and Holden with Artemis' help.
Edmund exclaimed, “The two of you, stop fighting. Hurry and take her away. Those killers have received a kill order
and will not give up until they kill you two. If we cannot take on Yvette's men anymore and they knock down our last
defense, we will all die.”
“I would rather die here than see you sacrifice your life to save us.”
Bailey's calm yet distant voice sounded from behind.
Edmund could only smile wryly. Since he met her, she had never spoken to him in such a cold tone. My words
earlier must have upset her.
Yvette, lying underneath their feet after Artemis' kick, clenched the snow. Drops of freezing water seeped from her
fingers.
As she watched her elite subordinates collapsing one by one before her, her resentment toward Bailey reached its
peak.
The current battle had wiped out all of her men. It was almost impossible for her to turn the tables, let alone make
a comeback.
Her end had been set in stone.
That was why she would take Bailey down even if she had to die.
After making up her mind, she returned to her feet and lunged at Bailey again, looking like a mad person and
bearing the pain in her calf and the stiffness all over her body.
The moment their bodies collided, Bailey was quickly pushed backward.
As she had just barely stabilized herself, there was no way she could bear the hit. Despite trying to steady herself,
she was numb from the cold, and she could only watch Yvette push her out of her safe zone.
“Bailey—”
Artemis and Edmund gasped in shock at the same time.
Right then, an ignited grenade came in the women's direction as they backed away.
Artemis didn't bother shooting at the surrounding killers and dashed toward Bailey immediately.
However, as Yvette threw herself at Bailey in the opposite direction, he couldn't do anything as he was the furthest
away from her.

and pushed her to the safe area at the side.
When Bailey was sent flying backward, Edmund saw the ignited grenade land at his feet and heard a loud explosion
the next second. Crimson snowflakes splattered in the air.
“No!”
Red smoke clouded Bailey's view.
She couldn't see the spot where the explosion occurred, but judging from her experience, she reckoned Edmund
barely survived.
“This is bad. Many special agents are showing up from all directions suddenly. I bet they are here to help Bailey and
the others. Attack them and don't care about Yvette's subordinates. Complete the boss' order and kill Bailey and
Artemis. We'll talk later.”
“Got it.”
Bailey and Yvette, who held tightly onto the former, crashed into Holden's arms.
Artemis rushed over to take Bailey from Holden, his face still twitching from the shock.
Although Bailey was finally in his embrace, fear still lingered in his heart, and he couldn't snap himself out of the
terror.
“Hurry and check on Edmund, Artemis. Hurry.”
Artemis knocked Bailey out by hitting the back of her neck.
What they were about to see might be an Edmund who was almost unrecognizable from the explosion.
If Bailey were to witness that in her current state, she would definitely lose her mind.
Like Artemis, Holden knocked Yvette out as well.
After tossing her in the snow, he dashed over to check on Edmund, who was lying on the bloody ground with bodies
sprawling everywhere.
His leg gave Holden a shock.
