Chapter 612 He Faked Losing His Memories
In the dungeon of one of Tarragon's branches, Micah, Shannon, and the rest were locked up in the deepest
chamber.
Wendy shot an apologetic look at the others as she tightened her grip around her son. “I'm sorry. It's my mistake. I
never thought they would use me to drug you guys. You wouldn't be trapped here if it wasn't for me.”
Shannon walked over to her and gently ruffled Sebastian's head before turning to Wendy. “Don't beat yourself up,
Wendy. We can't keep our guards up all the time. They'll find a loophole if they want to capture us. They would've
come up with something else even if you weren't part of the plan. I'm more worried about my brother. I don't know
how he's doing at the headquarters.”
Wendy's heart clenched at the news. She grasped Shannon's arm abruptly and asked, “What do you mean,
Shannon? Don't tell me your brother's life is in danger?”
Shannon was hesitant about answering her questions.
It was apparent Wendy loved Holden dearly. It might break her mind if she revealed something she shouldn't.
Shannon was worried she would break down.
“Nothing is going to happen to Holden.” Micah's voice came from across.
Shannon and Wendy lifted their heads at his answer. “Don't make any promises if you're unsure,” Shannon scolded
with a frown.
Micah shot her a glance and replied, “The reason they catch you is to control Holden and restrict his movements.
Holden may be under someone's control now, but I'm sure he's fine. You would've been dead by now if something
happened to him.”
Shannon mulled over his reasoning and figured his words made sense.

happened to her brother. She wouldn't still be there, pondering over her brother's well-being.
“He's right, Wendy, so don't worry. Let's wait patiently. We'll know the outcome sooner or later. If my brother really
does... let's die with him together by then.”
No one could respond to Shannon's grim declaration.
Micah's eyes darkened.
Mr. Doyle wouldn't even have stood a chance at catching me with my abilities if Holden hadn't contacted me
discreetly, asking me to surrender and letting them take me. I didn't want to give in initially because I didn't want to
jeopardize Shannon, but Holden repeatedly assured me that no harm would come to her. Only then did I withdraw
my attack, let Mr. Doyle capture us, and imprison me here. I hope Holden will keep his promise and ward off any
threats from Shannon. Otherwise, I don't mind obliterating the entire Tarragon.
“Calm down. Holden has confidence in winning this dispute. Besides, he's not the only one resisting. The leader has
also returned to the headquarters. Even ten Mr. Doyles aren't Holden's and Leader's match if they join forces.”
For two days straight, Justin's medical base had been constantly attacked by international elite assassins.
Fortunately, Zeke and Edmund had been prepared, so Bailey wasn't harmed.
In the study, Zeke and the others discussed the means to overcome their predicament.
Bailey gritted her teeth in frustration. “There's no way out of this. It's obvious Tarragon wants my head. I'll contact
Veikko immediately to have him prepare for a life-and-death battle with Tarragon. Then I'll have Zayron mobilize
the Saviors' forces in Hallsbay to come here and protect us.”
“No,” Zeke objected without hesitation. “We can't be hasty with how ambiguous the current situation is. The thing is
Artemis' current condition hasn't been ascertained yet. That's all the more reason not to act impulsively since we
don't know his exact situation.”
Edmund agreed, “I agree with Zeke. Let's wait for another two days. Maybe this is all part of Artemis' plan. We
might ruin it if you act recklessly.”
Bailey moved her lips to say something when the door slammed open. Zayron urgently barged into the room.
“Uncle Zeke, I have an update. It's the latest news from the Tarragon headquarters. They say—”
Zayron fell silent mid-sentence when he saw Bailey was also present in the room. He didn't dare to disclose the
information in front of her.
“B-Bailey, aren't you researching anticancer medication back in the lab? Why are you here?”
Bailey narrowed her eyes at him and said, “Stop trying to steer the conversation away. What news did you get from
the Tarragon headquarters? Spit it out.”
Um...
Zayron rubbed his nose, unwilling to reveal.
Bailey snorted. “Not telling me? Fine. I'm sure the news they sent would've passed through the hands of the Saviors'
headquarters' intelligence department. I'll call their head of department and ask him personally. You can scram
now.”
Zayron clenched his jaw at her threat. “Fine. I'll tell you. I don't think I can hide it from you for more than a day
anyway, so I might as well tell you now.”
“Stop spewing nonsense and tell me!”
“Dad was the one who sent out the kill order and spread the news that the Tarragon's leader was the one who
wanted your head. He demanded your death no matter the consequences.”
Clang!

The coffee mug slipped from Bailey's hands and clattered on the cold, hard floor.
She stared at Zayron dazedly as she slowly got to her feet. With a trembling voice, she asked, “I-Is it true? Is what
you said true? A-Are you sure you're not mistaken?”
Zeke shot to his feet and cast a glance at Zayron. “I think there must be some mistakes. Either that or Mr. Doyle
plans to use such means to target you mentally so that you'll lose your calm. That way, they can use the
opportunity to attack us.”
Bailey ignored his assurance and continued staring at Zayron in disbelief. “Are you sure you're not mistaken?” she
repeated.
Zayron furrowed his brows and sighed. “Why are you guys jumping to conclusions? I haven't even finished yet. The
information I got was Mr. Doyle had fed Dad a memory loss pill, causing him to forget about his relationship with
Bailey. He now only regards her as the head of the Saviors. That was why he sent the kill order.”
Lost his memory? Artemis lost his memories? He has forgotten about me?
Bailey's knees gave way, and she dropped to the couch.
Zeke shot Zayron a resigned look. “I told you not to say it. Why can't you read the room?”
Zayron pursed his lips. “I thought it could console her. After all, it wasn't my dad's intention. He only sent out the kill
order because of his memory loss.”
Feeling his head throbbing slightly, Zeke rubbed his temple to ease the pain. He turned to Bailey and said, “Bailey, I
don't believe Artemis would lose his memories. With how cautious he is, how could he let anyone exploit any
loophole and fall into such a trap?”
Bailey slowly raised her head and looked at him with tears brimming in her eyes. “But I was the one who planted
the spies in the Tarragon headquarters. They only take my orders. They won't betray me by sending me fake news.
It must be true if they say he lost his memories.”
Zeke fell silent because he ran out of ideas to comfort her.
Edmund spoke up. “There's another possibility. He faked losing his memories, then sent out the kill order to lure out
the mastermind in Hallsbay.”
