Chapter 473
Yvette had decided right then and there that she would marry Artemis no matter what.
She had lived in Tarragon's headquarters for years, and she had never seen the true appearance of
this exceedingly powerful man.
Although she had stayed in Hallsbay for a period of time, she did not have the time to appreciate
Artemis' looks as she was fixated on her rivalry with Shannon.
But that's not going to be the case from now on.
Yvette said, “Mr. Luther must be very handsome. Since I've been abroad for years and always keep to
myself, I barely know anything about him.”
The waiter noticed her extravagantly dressed appearance. He hurriedly grabbed a magazine from the
display shelf on the side and handed it to her lest he offended this distinguished guest.
“Mr. Luther is the special guest of this relic exhibition. His picture is on the cover of this promotional
magazine.”
Yvette took the magazine over quickly.
She was enthralled by the man in the picture with just a glance.
Exuding aloofness, he was handsome all around, and his chiseled features seemed like a work of
Adrune's master sculptor.
“Indeed, he's very handsome and charming. I'm certain he has stolen many girls' hearts. After all, he's

“That's right! Mr. Luther is the prince charming of all women in Hallsbay. Otherwise, Bailey wouldn't
have been the target of public outrage. In fact, she's still ostracized even with her immense
contributions to Chanaea.”
It was only then that Yvette remembered Artemis' lover.
That's right. I have heard of Ms. Jefferson. It seems I have to learn more about her in the future.
Artemis and the others circled the arc-shaped exhibit area before finally meeting Bailey and the rest.
Everyone in the vicinity braced their eyes and stared at them curiously to see if Artemis would openly
ignore Bailey.
Alas, they were disappointed by the outcome.
Artemis strode forward to reduce the distance between them before wrapping his arm around Bailey's
waist.
He then pecked her on the cheek, unconcerned about the spectators.
What the hell was the rumor about her losing Artemis' interest? Clearly, Artemis is infatuated with
Bailey. In fact, the woman has Artemis wrapped around her finger completely. It's impossible for
Artemis to love someone else.
“I haven't seen you for half an hour, and I've missed you dearly,” Artemis whispered in her ear.
In response, Bailey shot him a glare.
Does he think I'm clueless as to what he's actually thinking about? With Edmund, Raiden, and even the
Oscars' Best Actor, Elliot present, isn't he just trying to stake his claim on me in front of them? I didn't
expect the head of the Luther family to have such a childish side.
Although Bailey found the situation amusing, she could not help but feel troubled.
It looks like I won't be able to have any male friends with how domineering he is.
“Everyone, please proceed to the auditorium on the east side of the exhibition hall, as the appraisal
conference will begin shortly,” said the person in charge of the museum with a microphone to invite the
guests to take a seat.
Felicity walked up to Artemis and Bailey and said, “Your wife is a pushover. She doesn't know how to
fight back when someone blatantly crosses the line. You'd better take good care of her now that I'm
handing her over to you. Don't let her embarrass the Luther family. You have to teach her not to put up
with everything. It's acceptable to hit, scold, and fight others when they deserve it. The Luther family
will back her up no matter what happens.”
Although what Felicity said were words of concern, she sounded slightly grumpy.
Bailey smiled, for Felicity's words warmed her heart.
She must have taken a liking to me. Otherwise, she would have never defended me in this manner.
The smile on Artemis' face widened. After acknowledging Felicity's words with a slight hum, he
supported Bailey and proceeded to take a seat.
Just then, Zeke approached them and asked, “Ms. Jefferson, I have something to ask you. Can I talk to
you in private?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmUpon hearing that, Artemis' grip on Bailey's waist tightened. However, he quickly eased his strength in
consideration of the baby in her stomach. Nonetheless, his expression was grim.
Bailey found the situation amusing.
It's fine that he's wary about Raiden and Edmund. But why is he keeping his guard up with Zeke? It's
not like he doesn't know my relationship with Zeke.
Artemis scoffed twice. With a cold tone, he stated, “It's chaotic here. I don't feel at ease handing her
over to you. I can either accompany her, or you can wait until the end of the appraisal conference to
meet her at the Luther residence.”
Zeke's gaze swept across Bailey's belly. He seemed to have understood something when he noticed
Artemis' hand gently covering Bailey's belly.
It appears that the rumors spreading outside are inaccurate. This calculative couple must be up to no
good and setting up a trap for someone.
“That's fine. I will go look for her at the Luther residence after the end of the appraisal conference,
then.”
Just then, Lydia dragged a middle-aged woman to them.
“Bay, let me introduce you to Ingrid Wolcott, the most renowned expert antique appraiser of the
Xanthos family. I'll get her to expose the true face of that impostor, Lina, later.”
Bailey raised her eyebrow.
Ingrid Wolcott? It seems like Lydia's pretty capable to have invited such an important figure here.
“Greetings, Mdm. Wolcott.”
Ingrid smiled warmly. “It seems there will be a good show to watch today.”
