Chapter 451
With her high heels clicking on the ground, Lina stepped out of the high-class guest room with
professional-looking men and women dressed in suits following her. They were the museum's leaders
and executives.
Her face was glowing with confidence. After impersonating Vespera for a couple of days, she had
become a completely different person. She was no longer the ordinary appraiser no one consulted.
At that moment, she was someone highly sought after by everyone in the antique and appraising
industry.
Lina hoped the real Vespera was dead and gone. That way, it would make things easier for her.
Even if Vespera was not dead, it would be no use if she came up and exposed Lina at that moment,
because the latter had already gained everyone's trust.
“Master Vespera, I heard that a batch of cultural relics will be shipped back to our country in a few
days. The history of those relics is untraceable, and some of the relics might even be fake. Are you
really able to differentiate them?”
“Exactly. The Cultural Relics Bureau has hired many appraisers for this batch of relics. Yet, none of
them dared to accept the task because the relics are too valuable. They're worried something might go
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtwrong. Secondly, it's exceptionally hard to appraise this batch of relics. They fear they might make
mistakes, which can lead to a lawsuit.”
“Are you really able to identify the genuine relics from the counterfeits in this batch, Master Vespera?”
“Hey, what's that supposed to mean? How could you guys doubt Master Vespera's skills? Do you think
everyone's like Bailey? That woman even mistook the famous Beauty's Tear to be fake.”
“Watch it. Don't involve Ms. Bailey in this. What did she do to you, anyway? She just made one
mistake, that's all. Why do you keep bringing that up?”
“That's right. No matter how much you don't like Ms. Bailey, she's still Snowflake, Anonymous,
Legendary Racer, and Spook. She can eliminate anyone with any of these identities.”
“Pfft. She's just an imbecile who doesn't know who her father is. She doesn't even know her roots.
Even worse, she caused Mr. Jefferson to be mocked for getting cheated on by his wife and taking care
of a daughter that doesn't even belong to him for over twenty years. Who does she think she is?”
“Exactly! So what if she has all those identities? She's just a disgraceful, illegitimate child. Sure, she
bore the surname of a Jefferson when her identity was still unknown. But she doesn't deserve the
surname now. So, what gives her the right to marry into a top prestigious family like the Luther family?”
“Tsk. All of you are just jealous, that's what it is. How shameless.”
“Hey, who are you calling shameless?”
“You. Duh.”
In the next second, chaos broke out as the two parties launched into a fight.
A smile crept up Lina's face while she watched the crowd fight each other.
Looks like not everyone in Hallsbay is on Bailey's side. I guess it makes sense. Not only does Bailey
have many incredible identities, but she has also stolen the hearts of many handsome men. It's no
wonder those women don't like her.
Lina's smile slowly turned into a sneer as she glanced at the people who worshipped and stood up for
Bailey.
Soon, they're going to worship me instead. After all, I'm the one everyone in Hallsbay should be
worshipping. Who does Bailey think she is? She'll forever be criticized as an illegitimate child as long
as she doesn't find her biological father. Hmph. A mere illegitimate child. She's worse than me.
Right then, a man in a suit shouted to break up the fight, “Be quiet, everyone. Everyone who's here
today is an admirer of Master Vespera. So, even if you don't respect the leaders of the museum, please
at least show Master Vespera some respect.”
Taking her cue, Lina said, “Everyone, I have no intention of bringing up the conflicts between me and
Ms. Jefferson. Truth is, I admire her a lot. Although I've made some achievements, it's nothing
compared to Ms. Jefferson's. So, please stop aggravating the tension between us.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmWith that, she walked toward the stage.
“Next, I'd like to introduce a few treasures of the museum,” she said.
“What a shameless fame seeker.”
Suddenly, a sneer sounded from the crowd, followed by the appearance of a slender figure.
Pointing at Lina, Lydia hissed, “Can anyone prove this woman is Master Vespera? No one, right? Very
well. Since no one can prove it, then why is everyone trying to get on her good side? For all you guys
know, she might be lying.”
After a moment of silence, someone shouted, “On what basis are you claiming she's not Master
Vespera? Have you met the real Master Vespera, then?”
“Hah. Looks like we have another supporter of Bailey's. Ugh. The sight of another supporter just makes
me furious. Who the h*ll do you think you are? Why do you support her so much?”
“Since you're saying Ms. Young isn't Vespera, then show us some proof. Stop making a fool of yourself
if you don't have any proof. If Ms. Young's not Vespera, the real deal should've exposed her long ago
instead of allowing her to put on an act for so many days.”
“That's right! It's been several days since Ms. Young is revealed to be Master Vespera. Still, the real
deal hasn't shown up. Isn't that enough to prove that Ms. Young is Master Vespera? Oh, please don't
say that Vespera can't expose Ms. Young because she's dead. That's going to be the most ridiculous
joke ever.”
Following that, everyone burst out laughing.
