If I'm right, that is where pregnant women go for check-ups. Could it be that...
A thought popped up in Lionel's mind, making him extra careful about jumping to conclusions.
Are we having a child?
“You're right, Mr. Gezmond. Ms. Saunders is pregnant. We managed to track her down because she
went to the hospital for a checkup.”
Lionel turned to leave via the garden exit, but he stopped when he recalled that Wendy was still behind
him.
“Send someone to watch her twenty-four-seven. Don't lose her again. I'll be in Belmonia Island in two
days. Don't leave her out of your sight until I reach.”
“Don't worry, Mr. Gezmond. I will keep watch.”
When Wendy saw the unconcealable happiness on Lionel's face even after he hung up, she asked,
“Did something good happen?”
Lionel did not hide the truth from Wendy since she had already come to terms with her own feelings
and acknowledged that Holden was the man she loved, so she would not do anything irrational out of
jealousy.

Wendy was momentarily stunned, but she quickly snapped out of it and said, “Then what are you
waiting for? Go to Belmonia Island to find her. She is in her most helpless moment now. If you go to her
now, she will slowly come to depend on you.”
Lionel would like to fly over immediately too, but he hesitated because Sebastian was still in danger.
“I'm not in a rush. We can wait until Sebastian is out of the woods.”
Wendy smiled and stood up to push Lionel out of the garden. “There's nothing you can do by staying
here anyway. Only Holden can solve this problem. It will be hopeless if even someone like Holden can't
save Sebastian.”
“But—”
“No buts. Just go to Victoria. Also, ask her to call me if she doesn't believe what you say. I'll explain
everything to her.”
Despite Wendy's persuasion, Lionel still felt concerned. “Okay. If you want me to go to Belmonia Island,
then you'll have to stay at Holden's. I can't just leave you here alone at the Gezmond residence.”
Wendy's first reaction was to disagree, but Lionel did not even give her a chance to do that. “If you
don't, I'll stay here until Holden saves Sebastian.”
Wendy glared at the man, knowing full well what his intention was.
Lionel still had hopes that things would work out between Holden and Wendy, so he was trying to
create an opportunity for them to spend time together.
However, after going through all the heartbreak and betrayal, Wendy was no longer sure if she could
still love the man the way she used to.
She could tolerate his desertion, but she would never be able to come to terms with the fact that
Holden approached her with an ulterior motive.
That was why she was devastated when she learned that the bodyguard she had fallen for was
Tarragon's vice president, Holden Lewitt.
She would feel a suffocating pain in her heart whenever she thought that Holden had gotten close to
her just to gather intelligence to control Zaewora.
“He lost his memory, Wends, so he might have lied to you. You should do some digging yourself to find
out the truth about his departure.”
Wendy pursed her lips, clenching her jaw. “He stole intelligence from me and caused the Hoffman
family to lose control over Zaewora—that is reality, Nell. You don't have to find excuses for him. I know
in my bones what he did to me.”
Lionel shook his head. “Fine. Then don't ask me to go to Belmonia Island, either. I don't think I can
leave you here with you in such a state. I'm afraid you'd go to the resort and end up getting bullied by
those old geezers.”
“No. I will go to Holden. As you said, there are things I need to find out, so call him, Nell. Ask him if I

Lionel smiled and patted the back of her head. “That's more like it. Now you're looking like the same
strong and determined woman you used to be in the past. I'll call him now.”
That night at Century Hotel in Hallsbay, Cosmetico's owner booked the entire third floor to hold a
banquet for all the tycoons in the business and political spheres.
Since Bailey was curious about the mysterious woman, she followed Artemis to the banquet, but the
children, bored as they were at home, insisted on following as well.
So, Artemis held the two boys in each hand and shoved them in the car at the back before carrying his
daughter to the one in front, holding Bailey's hand.
“Ratemis, how could you treat your sons like that? Don't ever expect us to take over your business for
you in the future since you like your daughter that much. Just have her do it instead,” Zayron
complained while Susan giggled in Artemis' arms.
“Daddy, who are Zayron and Maxton to you?” she asked.
Artemis pinched her cheek, answering casually, “They're nothing to me.”
At the sight, Bailey could not imagine what would happen if she were to have another daughter
because by then, not only would the two boys be neglected, even she herself might not get much
attention from Artemis.
Bailey's thought did not go unnoticed by Artemis, so he put Susan down in the front seat and fastened
the seatbelt around her before sitting down beside Bailey and whispering in her ear, “You're different. I'll
give you all my love. I will satisfy you and make you feel like you're on cloud nine every day.”
