“Winnie!” called out Xavier when he saw that the woman was about to end the video call.
“That woman’s probably doing this because of Kylie. You have to be careful of her because
she’s unstable.”
Winnie wanted to tell Xavier that she understood, but the man did not give her a chance
to do so.
“One more thing. Send me your location so that I can have Louis arrange security details
for you,” added Xavier.
At that point, Winnie could not help but chuckle out of amusement. “You’re very long-
winded. Do you know that, Handsome?”
“I’m just worried about you—” replied Xavier helplessly, but before he could finish his
sentence, Winnie interrupted him by blowing him a kiss over the video call.
After that, the woman waved her hand at Xavier. “I have to go. Bye!”
Winnie then shut her computer down and hurried out.
On the other side, Xavier stared blankly at his computer screen for a while before letting
out a chuckle. My Dumbo just gave me another kiss.
The man was so elated that he was on cloud nine.
At that moment, there was nothing he wanted more than to fly over to Winnie so he could
embrace the woman and give her a big wet kiss. I don’t want an air kiss; I want to kiss her
for real!
There was no one in sight when Winnie finally reached the park she agreed to meet Jacinta
at.
She was just about to contact Jacinta when she got a call from Xavier. “What is it? I’m busy
right now!”
“You haven’t found your grandmother yet? Don’t worry. I got Louis to arrange two

Before Winnie could turn the man down, she saw two familiar bodyguards waving at her
from not too far away.
“Okay, I see them. Thank you for helping.” She was moved by his act of kindness.
“Don’t mention it. You don’t have to be so polite to me, Winnie.”
The woman did not have time to chit-chat, so she quickly ended the phone call.
As soon as Winnie hung up on Xavier, Jacinta called and told the woman that Yara and
Hamish had brought her to a cafe nearby.
Hence, Winnie hurried over to the establishment mentioned along with her two
bodyguards.
It did not take long for her to reach Jacinta and the others.
Yara quickly approached Winnie the second she saw the latter walk in.
She tried to grab Winnie’s hand but was immediately stopped by the bodyguards.
Unsure what the fuss was about, Yara froze for a moment.
“What’s going on, Winnie? Can’t your mother talk to you for a bit?”
“So it was you who brought Granny here. I was wondering who she went away with.”
Winnie pretended to be dumb in front of Yara before turning to glare at the two
bodyguards. “This is not acceptable. You can’t treat my mother this way.”
“Yeah, that’s right!” Yara was relieved when she saw Winnie was still as dumb as always.
Then, the woman puffed out her chest to address the bodyguards haughtily. “What are
you guys still standing here for? My daughter and I have some private matters to discuss,
so please leave us.”
Naturally, the bodyguards remained motionless because Yara did not have the right to
give them orders.
Embarrassed that her words did not carry weight, Yara had no choice but to turn to Winnie.
“Maybe you can ask them to go outside. I don’t feel comfortable talking with these
outsiders around.”
“Okay.” Winnie, who acted as if she would do anything Yara told her to, then pushed her
bodyguards out. “I order you to go outside now. You’ll only upset my mother.”
Only then did the bodyguards walk away.
Afterward, Yara held Winnie’s hand and led her to their table.
Yara was extra nice to Winnie that day. She poured Winnie some coffee and even served
her some cake.
On the other hand, Hamish had his face hardened the second Winnie walked in.
The man was unhappy that Winnie completely ignored him.
“How’s the cake, Winnie? Do you like it? I can get you more if you want.” Yara continued
acting solicitously.
Jacinta could not stand the way Yara acted, so she decided to speak for Winnie. “What do
you want? Stop beating around the bushes and tell us why you wanted us here.”
“Be patient. Let’s wait until Winnie’s done with her cake,” responded Yara, pretending as
though she had nothing but love for Winnie.
Amused by Yara’s pretense, Winnie decided to play along.
The young woman could have finished her dessert in one bite but deliberately dragged it
out by taking small bites instead.
One piece after another, Winnie kept asking for more until she finished the entire cake.
Then, she moved on to the second one.
While Winnie helped herself with the dessert, she turned to thank Yara. “These cakes are
so tasty! I love them! Thank you for letting me enjoy them.”
At that point, Yara had already lost her patience. Why the heck did I suggest waiting for
this dumbass to finish her dessert? I’m such an idiot!
Jacinta knew exactly what Winnie had in mind, so she played along by serving her
granddaughter more coffee and asking if the young woman needed to use the restroom.

Having finally had enough, Hamish unceremoniously snatched Winnie’s plate away.
“That’s enough! Do you have no respect for your elders? From the moment you walk in, all
you do is eat! Have you no manners?”
In response, Winnie turned to Jacinta and inquired innocently, “What’s ‘manners,’
Granny?”
“I have no idea what that is either. Remember, Winnie. The only reason you don’t have
manners is that your mother was taken from you and that your father’s a piece of trash,”
mocked Jacinta while glancing at Hamish.
“Huh?” Winnie widened her eyes at Jacinta in surprise.
“But Granny, Daddy doesn’t look like trash. This is what trash looks like,” voiced the
woman as she dumped her drink and cake onto Hamish’s head.
Then, Winnie clapped her hands excitedly. “That’s what a piece of trash should look like.
Daddy is trash! Hahaha! This is so much fun!”
“Winnie!” roared Hamish, who did not expect his daughter to do something like that to
him. After slamming his hand down onto the table furiously, the man stood up and was
about to hit Winnie.
“Mommy, Mommy! You have to protect me!” cried the young woman while throwing
herself into Yara’s arms.
Yara almost lost her balance when Winnie did that. However, since she needed Winnie’s
help, she had no choice but to side with the young woman.
“You know how Winnie is, Hamish. Why are you getting mad at a child?” Yara was so upset
that she could explode, but still, she had no choice but to comfort Winnie.
Only when the young woman stopped crying could Yara finally get into the main topic.
“Winnie, I heard you told the police that it was your sister who pushed you down the hill. Is
that true?”
