Chapter 978 Don’t Be Angry
Nicole then hurriedly took a bath before going to bed.
Early the next morning, she felt cold while she was still asleep. Thus, she reached her hand out for the blanket and
covered herself with it.
It was only after a while that she blurrily opened her eyes.
The drapes had been drawn shut, leaving the room completely dark even though it was already past 8.00AM. Nicole
hopped down from the bed, rubbing her eyes and yawning.
She stretched her body before slipping on her slippers and opening the drapes. A small film of mist had
accumulated on the window's surface.

The rain appeared to have poured throughout the night. Although the sun was shining, the ground outside was wet,
as if it had recently been cleaned.
The air after the rain was crisp and carried a subtle grassy odor. Nicole took a few long breaths, feeling at ease.
The cold air outside gradually sipped through the window gap, rendering Nicole even colder.
She was only dressed in thin pajamas. As such, she shut the window and rubbed her elbows before turning around
to change her clothes.
After she changed her clothes and went downstairs, she smelled a fragrance emanating from the kitchen.
She walked nearer and saw that Colton had already gotten up and was cooking.
They then had breakfast together. After breakfast, Nicole wanted to go to the hotel where Roger and the rest were
staying to talk about Undercity with them.
Colton wasn't surprised by that as he nodded and stated, "Okay. I'll go with you."
Just as Nicole wanted to say something, the door suddenly opened and a well-built man stepped in.
Nicole's expression darkened instantly when she noticed the person coming in was Julian.
Even up until this moment, she couldn't forgive the man. He was the one who drove Dream insane, and she was still
staying in the nursing home now.
Noticing Nicole's displeasure, Colton placed his hand over her shoulders and softly murmured, "Julian is Wolf's
leader. He needs to go with us to meet Roger and the others to discuss how to deal with Undercity."
Nicole's expression changed a little when she heard that. She raised her gaze, which happened to meet Colton's.
Colton, too, knew what Nicole was thinking. "Whether it's Wolf or Lome, neither of them will gain any advantage by
competing with Undercity alone," he commented. "They will only be able to defeat Undercity if they all work
together."

However, Nicole couldn't help but think of the suffering Dream had endured whenever she looked at Julian. Dream
was once an innocent and kind girl but because of what Julian did, she became a lunatic.
Nicole's face was somber and she clenched her fists so tightly that they cracked.
Colton was afraid that she would become too agitated, so he quickly took a big step and stood in front of her. "Julian
will go back after we've dealt with Undercity. Don't get angry, Nicky."
Hearing that, Nicole raised her gaze to look at Julian, her eyes filled with coldness. She took a deep breath to calm
the burning rage in her heart.
She then turned her head slightly, let out a faint hum, and did not say anything further.
Julian, who was standing not far away, did not come nearer either. He was paler than usual, and he appeared to be
haggard and worn.
It seemed as if something major had happened to him in the past few months.
Nicole and Colton then left for the hotel, with Julian following them.
