Right at that moment, they suddenly heard rumbling from a distance. It was like massive hooves were racing
across the grounds.
They noticed it at the same time, and all of them stood up to look into the distance. Yet, their vision had been
obscured by the hills.
Dagda frowned as he patted Airn on the back. “I’ll go take a look. All of you, wait here!”
The moment he said that, Dagda shot up into the air to look at the situation. Looking around, Dagda’s heart almost
jumped out of his chest
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtA mature Crimson Tortoise was rushing toward them from the left, while a massive Ice Toad was leaping their way
from the right. There was even a Red Fox Beast charging at them from behind.
The three beasts all had warriors who were wearing the same clothes in front of them, leading the beasts with the
eight warriors at the center!
Dagda’s face darkened, immediately realizing how bad the situation was. It reeked of a plot.
The eight of them had probably been targeted by the warriors from second-grade worlds. Their Heartbloods were
probably the cause of this ambush.
About one kilometer away from Dagda, Jack and Rudy stood on a hill, frowning as they looked right at Dagda’s
direction. They could see Dagda in the air at that moment.
“It’s true after all. This is really happening!” exclaimed Rudy anxiously. “To kill others, there’s nothing they won’t
do!”
Right after he said that, Rudy turned to look at Jack. He wanted to ask Jack if they should save those eight pitiful
warriors, but he swallowed his words before he said that. He did not want to disturb Jack’s thoughts.
Jack narrowed his eyes. “This isn’t right. We can’t be reckless right now.”
Rudy looked at Jack curiously. “What’s wrong?”
Jack took a deep breath as he turned to look around. However, the hills obstructed most of his vision, and he could
not see anything at all.
He frowned, thinking about it seriously. “In the first place, they shouldn’t be doing all this just to kill those people.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmJack was incredibly sure as he said that, and Rudy blinked, asking, “And why isn’t killing their sole purpose? What
else do they want? Could they be aiming for Heartblood?”
Jack nodded, answering, “Their main aim should be to get Heartblood. Let me ask you, how have the warriors from
second-grade worlds been treating the warriors from third-grade worlds? Do they hate the warriors from third-
grade worlds as much as the other way around?”
Rudy thought about it earnestly and shook his head. “No. There’s not much hatred in it. The warriors from second-
grade worlds just treat third-grade-world warriors as lambs for slaughter. They see warriors from third-grade
worlds as livestock, and nothing comes from true hatred.”
Jack took a deep breath and nodded honestly. “That’s why there’s something wrong.”
