Nora raised an eyebrow, looking a bit snarky. “This is your fault, why should I find a solution?”
Emily lowered her head slightly and frowned. “I’ll put the tea in the fridge for you.”
Andrew’s girlfriend recognized Emily and asked Noreen, “That’s your cousin, right? Nora seems to be
deliberately giving her a hard time!”
Noreen felt embarrassed by Emily and said unhappily, “What do I have to do with it?”
She turned her back, wishing to dissociate herself from Emily.
Emily found a clean cup, poured the black tea into it, and put the cup in the fridge.
Nora leaned against the sofa, glanced at Emily, and continued to chat and laugh with Lindsey and
the others.
Charlie glanced through the curtain and his gaze settled on Emily, his expression slightly gloomy. After
a while, Emily retrieved the chilled tea from the refrigerator and gently pushed the cup towards Nora,

Nora looked at it with distaste and replied, “It’ll taste terrible like this. Why should I drink it?”
Emily furrowed her brow. “I mentioned that I would put the cup in the fridge, and you agreed.” Nora
appeared surprised. “You were the one who wanted to put it there! Did I agree to that? How about this,
why don’t you gulp down the tea, okay?”
Emily couldn’t understand why Nora was being difficult. She shook her head. “I’m sorry, but delivery
personnel can’t consume customers’ items.”
“It’s me who’s telling you to drink it. If you don’t, I’ll call the dessert shop and tell them not to hire you
ever again!” Nora threatened playfully, raising her eyebrows.
Emily paused for a moment and asked, “If I drink this tea, will you let it go?”
“Yes, if you drink the tea, it’s over.”
“Fine, then I’ll drink.” Emily pressed her lips together and quickly gulped down the cooled tea.
Suddenly, Lindsey took out her phone and snapped a photo, showing it to Nora. “A delivery person
caught sipping the customer’s drink. What if I post this on social media? Will it make headlines?” “Let
me see!” The other girls gathered around excitedly.
Emily’s face turned pale as she stood up, looking shocked. “Why are you behaving like this?”
Nora shrugged indifferently. “It’s none of my concern!”
Emily’s eyes welled up with tears. “Did I do something wrong? Why are you toying with me?”
Lindsey approached her, laughing in her ear. “You deserve it for being Noreen’s cousin! Now go to her
and beg Nora for forgiveness!”
Emily glanced at Noreen, her voice icy. “I refuse to go to her!”
“Then I’ll upload the photo!” Lindsey waved her phone.

Emily looked at Nora, her tight-lipped expression a mix of helplessness and defiance. “Miss Frey, if I’ve
done something wrong, you can punish me, give me a bad review, or even fine me. But if your friend
uploads this picture, I’ll lose my job. Please don’t joke like this!”

“Who’s joking with you?” Nora sneered. “Who are you to deserve that?”
Lindsey laughed. “So, are you going to ask your cousin for help or not? If you don’t, I’m really going to
post this photo!”
Emily turned pale, took a deep breath, and straightened her back. “Go ahead!”
She turned to leave, but was stopped by Nora’s cold voice. “Get back here! Did I say you could leave?”
“What’s going on?”
Charlie nonchalantly appeared at the doorway, strolling over. Emily glanced at the man and was
momentarily taken aback. Charlie’s elegant eyes swept across Emily’s face before turning to Nora.
“What’s going on? Why are you upset?”
“Charlie!” Nora’s demeanor instantly transformed into a sweet and charming one as she rushed over,
embracing his arm. “This delivery girl is Noreen’s cousin, and she’s intentionally targeting me. I’m sure
she and Noreen are plotting something together.”
Noreen stood up angrily, seething with anger. “Don’t falsely accuse me! What cousin? I don’t even
know her!”
