Jonathan replied right away, telling her to rest and call him if she needed anything

the surgery was finished, and the nurse wheeled Xavier out. Estelle immediately got up to greet him.
The doctor said wittred smile. “The surgery went very well. As long as he recovers properly, there won’t
be any disabilities.”
Thank you, doctor!” Estelle nodded.
“You welcome
Estelle followed the nurse back to the ward. She was busy all night and didn’t get a chance to rest until
dawn was about to break.
As Xavier regained consciousness, the faint light of dawn filled the room. Despite his injuries, his gaze
remained sharp Scanning his surroundings, his eyes fell upon Estelle, who lay beside the bed.
It had been over three years since they last saw each other. Following their failed mission, Gab had
declared all seven of them dead in an abandoned factory Since then, Xavier and Estelle had severed
ties with the organization, while Sniper and Stella, which were their code names, disappeared without a

Three years had gone by, and Estelle had grown taller and even more stunning. Yet, regardless of her
appearance or the passage of time, Xavier could always recognize her amidst any crowd.
Among the seven of them, Stella was the only girl. She didn’t talk much and always kept to herself.
Because she was a girl, the other guys were extremely protective of her.
They had been together for five years, experiencing life and death situations together, closer than
family.
But on the day when Tyrannosaurus and the others died, she didn’t shed a tear as she looked at their
bodies and walked away, as if their deaths had nothing to do with her!
He was devastated and couldn’t accept that all their deaths were because of Stella, let alone her cold
indifference!
He swore from that day on that he would never see her again!
Once again, Xavier’s gaze fixed upon Estelle, his eyes devoid of warmth and indifferent to her
presence.
Had she saved him last night? Why would she do such a thing if she felt no affection for them?
Xavier closed his eyes, his breathing growing heavier. Estelle’s return had resurfaced memories that he
had purposefully buried deep within. “Do you need some water?” Estelle’s voice interrupted his
thoughts, causing Xavier to abruptly open his eyes. There she stood, awake and positioned beside his
bedside.
“I’m not thirsty. Thank you for saving me, but now you can leave,” Xavier retorted coldly.
Unfazed by his words, Estelle proceeded to pour him a glass of water and calmly responded, “You’re
currently unable to get out of bed. So, whether you want to see me or not, you’ll just have to tolerate
my presence.”
Xavier glared at her with a frigid and menacing look, a palpable aura of hostility emanating from him.
She put a straw in the water cup and brought it to his lips.
“I don’t want it!” Xavier turned his head away.
Estelle remained silent, waiting with the cup in hand.
“I said I don’t want it!” He lashed out and knocked the water cup from her hand.
Unfazed, Estelle poured another cup of water and said calmly. “Either I take care of you, or I tell your
family. You choose!”

Estelle scoffed, “What do you think I’m afraid of?”
In that instant, Xavier seemed to see Stella from the past. They actually knew each other the longest,
and even their names were given to them by Gab.
She really wasn’t afraid of anything. In their group of seven, she was the youngest but also the most
ruthless and courageous one!
Once again, Estelle brought the straw close to Xavier’s lips, commanding him, “Drink the water!”
Xavier glared at her with intensity, his reluctance evident. However, he begrudgingly took a sizable sip,
his defiance still apparent.
“For the next few days, I’ll be taking care of you. It’s in both our interests that you cooperate,” Estelle
stated with indifference. “But once you’re discharged, rest assured you won’t see me again.”
“I don’t need your assistance, and I have no desire to owe you anything!” Xavier responded coldly.
Estelle remained unfazed and assured him, “Don’t concern yourself with owing me. After you’ve made
a full recovery. I’ll require your help with something.”
Xavier squinted and dismissed her, only asking coldly, “Why were you there last night?”
Estelle said flatly. “Don’t worry. I wasn’t tailing you. Saving you was just a coincidence!”
With that, Estelle left the room.
