our stocks to plummet-all because she’s the president’s daughter?”
His words struck Sophia like hidden blades.

Not a single word from him had mentioned Sophia. Yet it was undoubtedly a harsh
whipping on Sophia’s

clapped their hands together, creating a thunderous round of applause.

and had to stay past midnight at the hospital.”
Jasper pursed his lips, worry clouding his heart.
“So… Do you want to use this as an excuse to see her, sir? I can get some antacids you
can bring to her?”
“Do I need an excuse just to see her?” Jasper scowled.
“Uh, no. No, of course not …”
