Chapter 63

This time it was Sharon’s turn to be confused.

“You’re leaving? Where are you going?”

“Something came up.” Larissa had no intention to tell her more. She simply dipped her head in farewell

and said, “Let’s meet again in the future, Ms. Davis.”

Kevan went back to the lounge with a stony face. The scattered crowd began to gather again.

However, this time, he no longer had the mood to deal with them and blocked them off without saying

anything.

“Mr. Rogers!” Sharon, who was sitting before the floor–to–ceiling window, waved at

him.

Out of everyone in the villa, he was the closest to Sharon, and she was likely the only woman apart

from Larissa who did not try to flatter him in any way. Hence, he went over to her and asked in a low

voice, “Is there something you needed, Ms. Davis?”

Sharon did not hasten to answer his question, but she handed him the other glass of

red wine from the table instead.

“I wonder if you’d be willing to drink with me.” She smiled, but Kevan’s eyes narrowed as his guard

went up. She had never been this warm to him from the day they met until now. There was definitely

something fishy going on with this.

“Don’t think too much of it, Mr. Rogers.” Seeing that he had not moved, Sharon simply lay her cards on

the table. “I just want to make a deal with you about Ms. Seymour.”

Hearing Larissa’s last name, Kevan stopped hesitating. He sat down and accepted the wine and said,

“Go ahead, Ms. Davis.”

Knowing she had guessed right, Sharon’s smile grew bigger.

“Give me Dylan’s current personal phone number, and I’ll tell you where Ms. Seymour has gone.”

Many people knew about Dylan’s personal phone number. If Sharon really wanted it, she would be able

to find it easily–but most certainly not from him. Kevan put his glass down. “My apologies.”

Pulling out his phone, Kevan said pointedly, “I don’t need to go through others to find Larissa.”

Sharon laughed lightly. “Very well, then.” She waved at him to carry on. “You may call her right here. I

don’t mind.”

The calmer she was, the more Kevan found it suspicious. He went through his contacts and selected

the first one on the list. However, the call never made it through. The robotic message started out as

“The number you have dialed is currently busy” and ended with “The number you have dialed cannot

be reached temporarily.”

Sharon took a sip of wine, her gaze fixed on the scenery outside while a confident smile played at the

corner of her lips.

Kevan called two more times but got the same results. Gripping his phone, he asked, “Do you really

know where she went?”

He had been conned by some weird woman to go to the backyard for this exact reason. Not only was

there no one in the backyard, but that woman had even pounced on him like some rabid dog, kissing

him while having her arms wrapped all around him. It was so disgusting that his stomach was still

churning.

But Sharon…was unlikely to be the same as that woman.

If she wanted to make a deal with him, she would not lie. After all, she knew exactly what happened to

people who lied to him.

“More than that.” Sharon batted her eyelashes at him. “I even know who she’s with.“
