"A busy day ahead, don't you say, guild leader?" Myriad Arrows chuckled, looking at Jake.
"Don't let me get used to you saying that. I'll have you calling me that again and again." Jake shook his head as he looked out the window of the third floor of his building.
People already filled the first two floors, and there was a bigger crowd outside. All of them were just waiting for the moment that the guild would start recruiting.
"Are you sure that you have enough money to take in all of them? I mean, I know you have a shop and all, somehow, but how the hell are you going to sustain those many people?" Myriad Arrows asked.
Outside the shop, even the number of people who crowded here early numbered around a thousand people. That meant a whole thousand gold a month, an expenditure that no ordinary man could afford.
"Do not worry about the money. Remember, eventually, every guild member is going to pay for himself. But we are not going to take in everyone. I don't want to dilute our guild quality by taking every useless member. Filter them out. Whoever is below level ten can just leave right now." Jake said.
"I'll inform the participants." Myriad Arrows nodded, about to go downstairs, when Jake stopped him.
"Not yet. I don't want you to be the face of the guild just yet. I need you hidden, you are my secret card. When anyone who is against us will not expect it, I will have a ranker with me that can help me out." Jake said.
"You are quite confident that I am a ranker." Myriad Arrows smiled.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"You may well be the first person in the entire world to get an Epic class, and you sure as hell are the first person to get an archer-type epic class," Jake said.
Myriad Arrows nodded.
"With what I understand, your class means that you are literally a bomber? If you keep upgrading, soon enough, you can stop using a bow, and can upgrade to a rocket launcher?" Jake asked.
"That will take a while. I need to rack in the Class Points for that, and I don't even know how to do that. The merchant there told me that I needed Class Points, but that feature doesn't even show on my screen." Myriad Arrows said.
"Let us not worry about that now. We have enough people to run us over. I need to make sure that I can take them on. After I go down, go to the outskirts and monitor the blacksmiths. I need to make sure that they work at full capacity." Jake said.
"Aren't they NPCs? You gave them a job, so they will work, right?" Myriad Arrows asked.
"Do not think of World Online like a normal VMMORPG. It is different. Completely different. Now, make sure that they don't slack. Best of luck then." Jake unequipped his rusty-looking armor and sword. Right now, he needed to show a good exterior.
He took one of the armors he prepared beforehand and donned it. Taking a sword to his side, he walked down the stairs to the second floor.
There were a few blacksmiths here, taking custom orders, but no one here actually came for those. They came here because they intended to be first in line.
Jake smiled.
"Enthusiasm. I like it. But I can't just accept every single player that walks through this door. I need to know that you are actually worth my money. I need to make sure that you are committed. Those who haven't grinded to level ten yet, you can leave." Jake announced with a loud voice.
Even among all of the cross-talk, his voice could be heard. However, it was not his primary source of messaging.
The moment he said that, in the middle of the first and second floors, a hologram suddenly popped up, rotating like a turn table.
The words: 'Only Level 10 Players will be recruited today' were brightly visible to every player who came here. And boy was there an outrage.
"Only level ten? Who do you think you are?"
"There are hundreds of guilds out there who could take us, not just you. Feeling arrogant, boy?" another shouted at him.
Jake could hear everyone cursing at him, but all of these were obviously the players who didn't reach level ten yet. Those who did, silently looked at the show.
"The store is closed for all business. Only the guild recruitment will take place today. Guards, please do not let anyone below level ten enter the store. And kick out the ones who aren't leaving." Jake told one of the guards who was standing to the side.
"As you wish, Baron." the guard nodded and walked forward. From every corner of the floor, guards appeared and started picking out players who weren't level ten or above.
Seeing that he wasn't joking, people started leaving. No one wanted to be kicked out forcefully. That was just humiliating.

"That's disappointing. I hoped that I could attract more low rankers and above. Well, I guess I'll have to make do with just these." Jake sighed.
The shop was slowly being emptied, and the level tens from outside could also enter the store without being pushed out.
Slowly, the store became crowded again, but this time, this was everyone there was.
Jake nodded, and he snapped his fingers. The visual on the hologram changed again.
[Please wait your turn. If you are a Rare Class, then you can skip the line]
"Now, is there anyone here who has changed their class to a Rare class or higher?" Jake asked, scanning through the crowd.
Seconds passed by, and there was no response. Jake's face fell. He was hoping that at least one or two good eggs would show themselves.
"I am!" a voice came from the first floor.
"Thank god." Jake sighed with relief. Today wasn't going to be a total waste of time.
