Dibly, A good guy.
It did not take much long before Ozul saw the city structures.
Ozul wanted his ‘parts’ back, but he was not in a hurry. Well, he could not do much as he was now either. He needed to improve before making any move.
Besides, Ozul had all the time in the world. He could afford to slack off a little.
Ozul is not sure what he is, maybe experiencing the world will give him some hint? No one’s stopping him now. Sleeping is great, but he may find something else just as good.
But the Sun is still annoying!
Anyways, before entering the city, the bandits covered their faces with cloaks. They were wanted, covering their features was a necessity as city guards may recognize them.
The city was called Azmar Town. It was a bustling city situated on the west of the Silverbird Capital. The name was never changed to Azmar City for traditional reasons. It was under the jurisdiction of a Count.
Ozul got only this much info from Dibly before they arrived at their destination.
.....
Dibly did not want to leave a disabled kid on his own, but under Razor’s stern gaze, he bent down and dropped off Ozul.
Dibly was a bandit for sure, but he could not be so heartless towards a kid. He looked at both of his sides when he confirmed that no one was paying attention to him, Dibly sneakily put something inside Ozuls pocket before sprinting off, not knowing that what he had done today would change his life for the better one day.
A few seconds later, Ozul was alone sitting in the dark alleyway. Confirming that no one was around, he created an arm out of ‘Ball of Purity’ and attached it to himself. With that new hand, Ozul checked his pocket to find 4 Silver coins.
‘A good man...’ For the first time, Ozul had a small smile formed on his face before disappearing shortly after.
4 Silver coins were not a vast sum, but it was quite a lot for the current him. Dibly had explained to him about the currency. It was a simple and plain system.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThere were Gold, Silver, and Bronze coins. A single Gold coin is equal to a hundred Silver coins. Similarly, a single Silver coin can be exchanged for a hundred Bronze coins. For about ten or so bronze coins, you could humbly fill your stomach.
Actually, there was another unit above gold. It was a Purple coin. Each Purple Coin is equal to a hundred gold coins, But they were mostly used for significant transactions.
Dibly had left him 4 Silver Coins as it would let him eat for at least a week. But Ozul had other plans. He did not need to eat anyway. So, why would he waste his money on tasteless meals?
He planned to get himself prosthetic limbs. He had seen people; limbs were quite convenient as he saw them. Ball of Purity could not substitute for both of his arms and a leg, and besides, he needed it for his defense and offensive!
‘Sleeping was much easier.
sigh...
‘ Ozul sighed as he was almost regretting his decision. Almost!
Again with a sigh, he changed the arm into a leg and connected it to himself. His baggy pants hid how the whole leg was pitch black. He stood up and went out of the alley, devoid of any life.
His first task was to find someone who can make the prosthetics. There was only one thing that was standing between him and his goals... the Sun!
But Ozul did not back down; He had to endure it. He did not have any other choice.
‘Hmm... Actually, I do have another choice... maybe I should just go, and slee...’- Ozul started thinking things before he shook his head and pushed those thoughts back.
‘Ah, These slothful thoughts. I should be careful not to lose myself like this.’ – Ozul internally reprimanded himself while he still kept his stoic face.
After walking for another minute, Ozul was standing under the shadow of the building on his side.
‘I give up. Physical exercises are not made for me. Sleeping under this shade would be much more pleasant.’ Ozul was already regretting getting out of his old warehouse.
But God helps those who help themselves! Just as Ozul was going to help himself to sleep, God had sent help.
“Oh! boy, where are your parents?” Ozul heard an old voice approaching him from behind.
Ozul turned to his side just to see an old lady with a kind smile spread over her face.
“Dead,” Ozul gave the ever-stoic answer. He knew his mother was dead and did not consider Edward as his father. So, he had no family now.
“Oh! Poor boy... I’m so sorry... Why are you looking so lost? Do you have somewhere you need to go?” Tenderness started overflowing from her as she heard that he was an orphan. The boy was genuinely pitiful; he lost his parents and was also disabled.
“I need new limbs,” Ozul kept his answer short and straight.
‘Hmm... a kind heart, huh...’ Ozul was internally evaluating the old lady. She was the first human to consider him after a whole minute of search.
‘Difficult times indeed, Humans are such heartless creatures. Only this one after a hundred bothered to stop...
sigh
.’ Ozul thought while shaking his head a little.
“Hm... So, you need prosthetics,” After thinking about it, The old lady motioned him to follow her.
Ozul did not ask any questions and just quietly followed after her. Anyways, she did not seem suspicious. If she had any other intentions, Ozul would know in the blink of an eye. His ability to read other’s emotions shouldn’t be taken so lightly.
The old lady at the moment only showed sympathy directed towards him.
Ozul hurried after her since the sunlight was itching him.
Thankfully, it did not take much longer when he was standing in front of a seemingly low-profile house.
“This is Mr. Smith’s house. He may have retired now, but he was a famous blacksmith before. He also knows a thing or two about making prosthetics. Don’t worry; he won’t take any of your money. At least not when I am here.”- The kind old lady introduced the owner of the house. She reassured him about money problems while showing an evil smile.
They knocked at the door before an old man appeared. He had a bushy beard along with a fat belly.
Mr. Smith’s eyes lit up, and he laughingly greeted the old lady.

If it was not visible, the old guy was definitely pursuing the old lady.
“Hoho... Surely you jest, Mr. Smith. As for why I am here. It is because I need a favor. Surely you won’t reject this old heart, right?”
Evidently, Carol may be old, but she had her fair share of experiences. She kept the Smith guy at bay using polite words. She then hooked the fish using her old heart as the leverage!
Just as expected, Mr. Smith was hooked.
“Of course not, Miss Carol! How could I reject someone so
close
to me.”- Mr. Smith was smitten by old love. He thought they were close.
So close, that he was still calling her Miss.
“Fufu... I knew I was not wrong about you, Mr. Smith. Do you see this boy? I would request you to make his prosthetic limbs. It shouldn’t be any difficult for you, I assume?”
Carol explained while hinting how someone like Smith should be up to the task.
“Haha... these bones may be old, but if that’s what you want, then I can’t back down now, can I?” Mr. Smith answered while lifting his head a little. He wanted to impress Carol; now was his chance.
Carol showed her charm and was smug about it as she eyed Ozul, showing her prowess.
Ozul nodded in approval. He had seen how she hooked the
bait
. She was a genius! Luckily, Old Carol was on the Ozul’s side.
After that, all three of them went inside the house...
