Chapter 13

When Madam Sue walked into the living room, she saw Yulia in a daze with a phone in her hand.

“Grandma, Mr. Lewis called and said that he wanted to send the gold thread materials here. What

happened?”

Hearing that, Madam. Sue quickly forced a smile and replied, “Great. Send them to the production

department as soon as you received them. Tell them they must finish Mrs. Crawford’s dress by today.”

“Oh, okay.” Yulia had no idea what was going on. She agreed as soon as she find out that the deadline

was tomorrow.

Madam. Sue then stared at Skylar and asked, “Skylar, what do you want, trying to get close to Yulia and

me?”

Hearing that, Skylar couldn’t help but sneer, “Madam Sue, you think too much. I won’t even waver even

10 companies of the Sue family are placed in front of me.”

“What! You’re such an arrogant brat!” Madam Sue didn’t want to talk to Skylar anymore and left.

“Skylar, how dare you say something like that in front of Madam Sue? Do you know you almost put our

family in trouble just now?” Betty chided as soon as they left.

“Don’t you feel proud that Madam Sue came personally to see Yulia? Haven’t you had enough of

sarcasm of the Sue family over the years?” Skylar asked.

Skylar’s words stirred up ripples in Betty’s heart. In fact, Skylar helped them vent their anger. If it weren’t

for Skylar’s idea, how would Madam Sue come to see Yulia in person? The people in the Sue family

would never dare to look down upon them in the future if they found out what happened.

Inside the BMW at the gate, Madam Sue was so angry that she couldn’t help but quiver. “How dare Yulia

gang up with an outsider to threaten me?”

However, Charles asked worriedly, “Mom, how are we going to tell the Wexler family now that we let

Yulia come back to work? Will Nicholas do anything to us?”

Yvonne snorted. “I bet he will go after Yulia and Skylar first. I believe he won’t do anything to us in a short

time. After the ceremony, I will get rid of Yulia and Skylar before they find out.”

Hearing that, Charles and Madam Sue nodded in agreement. It all depended on Dragon Commander’s

ceremony tomorrow.

As soon as Yulia got the gold thread, she rushed back to the company and handed them to the

production department. Alan almost welled up in tears. His job was saved because of Yulia.

Yvonne went back to her office in dejection. She was furious at the thought of being superseded by Yulia.

Without any hesitation, she sent a message to Nicholas, asking him to meet at noon.

In the evening, Skylar arrived at the kindergarten to pick Lola up. Then he went to Kareem Fashion to

wait for Yulia. After that, Skylar proposed to have dinner at Luna restaurant to celebrate the return of

Yulia to the company. Although Yulia was busy, she didn’t want to disappoint him, so she nodded and

agreed.

Luna restaurant was a famous restaurant in Cloudtopia. Although it was not as high-end as a five-star

hotel, the price for a meal was not cheap. People coming for dinner were basically people with status.

However, from the moment the three of them entered the room, Skylar felt strange gazes were looking at

him. After they sat down, they heard whispers from the people dining in the restaurant.

“I’m sure the woman in the video is her!”

“She looks like a good woman with her husband and son. I didn’t know that she is actually a prostitute.

How shameful she is!”

“She’s so pretty but too bad, she is with her husband now. Otherwise, I can…”

“Maybe her husband is good for nothing? Maybe he depends on her to support the family?”

Hearing that, Yulia’s face turned pale, and the knuckles of her fingers holding the cup turned pale too.

She knew it must be Nicholas. He must have posted some videos about her on the internet. She didn’t

expect people would reprimand her when they saw her having dinner. She couldn’t imagine what Lola

would face in kindergarten tomorrow morning.

Skylar slowly put down the cup in his hand with killing intent in his eyes.

Right then, a fat middle-aged man came over. He stared at Yulia and asked, “Hey, babe. Can I have you

for the night and shoot a video together too? Tell me, what’s your price?”

“F**ck off!” Skylar shouted coldly.

The middle-aged man’s face darkened. “Hey, don’t pretend to be a man now. Your wife’s video was all

over Cloudtopia. Everyone knows she is worth three thousand only. Aren’t I generous to ask her how

much she wants?”

“Three thousand? Isn’t it a little high? I had two young models at the same price last time. Although they

are not as pretty as her, isn’t it the same after turning off the lights?” A friend of the middle-aged man

said jokingly.

When Skylar was about to lose his temper, Nicholas swaggered in.

At the sight of him, Yulia trembled with anger. “Nicholas, you are so despicable!”

“Haha, I think you are the shameless ones in everyone’s eyes now! This is the consequence of

provoking me!” Nicholas sneered. Then he looked at Skylar and said sarcastically, “Aren’t you good at

fighting? I’d like to see how you can protect Yulia this time!”

Hearing that, Yulia sank into despair. Nicholas was right. Although Skylar was a good fighter, no one

could prove her innocence after Nicholas made the fake video known to all. Even if Skylar beat Nicholas

to death, it didn’t change a thing.

Looking at Yulia’s pale face, Skylar suddenly said in a soft voice, “Don’t worry. I’m here. I won’t let

anything happen to you.”
