Scott took four hours to complete his task. Wearily, he returned during dinnertime
Caroline fetched a glass of juice and inquired, “How did it go? Did you find any information?”
Scott, shaking his head, settled onto the sofa. After taking a sip of juice, he responded, “No, I shared
the photo, but there were no outcomes.”
Worry creased Caroline’s face. “What should we do now?”
Holding an uninvited mentally ill quest at home was problematic, especially with the children.
present.
But where could they take her? The hospital? It might be impolite.
Could they ask her to leave? Caroline couldn’t bear to imagine the hardship Jamie might endure
due to her mental condition
Kenny lay lazily on the sofa, crunching an apple. “Well, in my view, you should return her to

“No! We can’t do that!”
Caroline and Scott immediately rejected Kenny’s suggestion.
Kenny nearly choked “So, what’s the plan now?”
Scott glanced at Caroline. “If it’s alright with you, I can invite a doctor friend to assess her.”
I suppose that’s the only option, Caroline conceded.
After the conversation, Caroline brought the three children upstairs to wash up. She then got
them to their room and tucked them in.
Liora expressed her concern “Mommy, what’s wrong with Madam?”
Caroline gently pinched Liora’s cheek. “It’s okay. She’s unwell. Everything will be fine once she
gets better.”
Tyler added, “Don’t worry, Mommy Papa Wilson can manage it.”
Caroline smiled appreciatively. “Yes, I believe so. Now, sleep well. And let’s not mention this to
her, alright?”
The children nodded in agreement.
Axel whispered, “Goodnight, Mommy.”
Caroline then planted a kiss on each of their foreheads. “Goodnight…”

In the middle of the night, a figure suddenly sat up quickly in the dark children’s room.
He held his nose and reached for his phone on the bed’s headboard
He switched on the phone, moved the blanket aside, and got out of bed, walking swiftly to the
bathroom
Closing the door behind him, he tiptoed to switch on the wall lamp. He looked down.
A bright red patch caught his eye.
His face turned pale. It was his third nosebleed.
Taking a tissue, he plugged his nostril, then cleaned his bloodstained hand.
Before he could finish cleaning, the other nostril began to bleed.
Axel stared at the water–tinged blood and pursed his pale lips tightly

Axel sat in the bathroom for ten minutes until his nose stopped bleeding. With a pale face, he left the
bathroom, using his phone’s light to step cautiously and check the floor for any blood.
Every few steps, he would look at his sleeping siblings in bed. Once he was sure they were still sound
asleep, he would check for any signs of blood.
When he confirmed the floor was clean, he returned to bed. No blood on the floor was a relief.
Caroline would worry if she found out.
Axel didn’t want to add more trouble or concern for his mother.
The following morning, Scott arrived with a female doctor to examine Jamie.
Jamie woke up emotionally steady but had no recollection of the recent events. She couldn’t even
remember who Caroline was.
Despite this, she cooperated when the female doctor asked her questions. Then she rushed over to
play with the three children.
Caroline took the chance to talk to Dr. Freya Bailey.
“Dr. Bailey, what’s going on with Jamie?” Caroline inquired.
