situation ahead: “City’s water pipe up ahead has busted, the road’s flooded out, we can’t go through for

now.”

Hearing this, Seraphina quickly turned to the driver, “Are there any other routes?”

“Well…yeah,” the driver said a bit awkwardly, “But we’d have to take a massive detour, might not make

it in time…”

Leandro was mulling it over, when suddenly Seraphina leaned back in her seat, dropped her gaze and

seemed lost in thought for a moment. Then, she cracked a small smile and said, “Forget it.”

Leandro turned to look at her. Seraphina slowly said, “She’s always been there for me, looking out for

me, but I haven’t really done anything for her… Still, she’s never blamed me. Even if we’re late today,

she won’t blame me…”
