"Oh…" Kana pursed her lips and sat down, crossing her legs under her. "So tell me. What is the connection between divinity and mana? Why do we need both to cast magic?"
"I am surprised you do not know. Unless you just have not dug it out of your memories yet." The old man replied.
"I have not had time to really go through all my memories. There are so many that I am unsure what is what now." Kana replied while pouting slightly. With all the information stuffed into her head, she was lucky to figure out what two plus two was.
"Haha… That does happen. But as you slowly digest them and organize your thoughts, you will be able to call upon all that information easily. But to answer your question, divinity is mana, just a higher form. Your bodies have both divinity and mana in them unlike a pure god such as myself. You all started off as mortals, so you would only have mana circulating in your bodies to start. Of course, this is based on the world you live in as well. Someone with spiritual qi from this world is also the same because spiritual qi is also a form of divinity.
"The forms do not matter since they all do the same thing. They all allow you to reach a stage at which you will be able to turn your mana into divinity, just as you have. As you slowly progress, you will eventually turn all your mana into divinity. The same goes for the little girl down there as well. With the divinity she has taken in, her container was not ready for pure divinity, so it turned some of it into mana.
"This is a natural process anybody will undergo when they are not ready. But this is also good because it allows the mana and divinity to seep throughout the body, slowly making it stronger until you finally break your binds as you all have. Well, Kana is at the point that she is beyond divinity, even though she is still taking it in. You all are also working your way there as well now that you all have chaos cores. Each one of you will be an existence higher than even those fools in the void of oblivion." The old man explained.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe detail of his explanation suddenly made all the information about it pop up in Kana's mind. So she knew everything he said was true. But she never expected that chaos was actually higher than divinity. She felt kind of proud of this fact.
"But more importantly, you missed the match." The old man pointed to the stage to see Ako sitting next to Bell, who was lying on the ground, face down, being poked in the cheek.
"What!? You damn old man! Why did you make me listen to you!?" Kana yelled out, causing the old man to want to cry out: "You asked me a question, and I answered!"
A few minutes earlier….
Bell smiled and rested her sword on her shoulder as he looked at Ako on the other side of the now destroyed battle stage. "Shall we continue? You do not have any more tricks that will give you an advantage Aunty Ako!"
"Bell, do not be so sure about that. You forget one thing…. Being a slime is not about making yourself a liquid or changing shape. We can do many different things. And well, since I am different from other slimes, I can do much more than that. " Ako replied as her finger suddenly split off from her hands and fell to the ground. Those fingers suddenly shook and began to grow to the same size as Ako and took on her exact shape and appearance. Ten Akos all smiled and clenched their fists as they all said in unison: "You still have a long way to go before you can match up to me just yet."
"Wait, that is not fair!" Bell began to panic. One Ako was already too much for her! Now she had to deal with ten!?
Bell wanted to cry. She was suddenly put on pure defensive as those Ako's appeared in front of her, each throwing fist at her from all directions. She tried to use blood splitting, but it didn't matter. She was hit, and her blood splitting was immediately canceled, sending her flying across the stage. It was then a one sided beating. While she could have given up, Bell refused to say the words, so she got beat up by her aunty.
As the match came to end, Bell lay on the ground on her stomach, not wanting to move. She felt embarrassed. Ako walked over and sat next to her, and poked her cheek. Bell had no more injuries on her. They had all quickly healed, but she still did not wish to move. "I am reporting you for child abuse."
"Which kid is over a hundred years old?" Ako asked with a chuckle.
"This kid!" Bell was not going to give up. She slowly rolled over and looked up at her Aunty Ako and smiled. "I still have a long way to go."
"You only started training for a short time. I have had much longer to learn to fight. As time goes on, you will get stronger. And then it will be me who will be laying on the ground yelling about aunty abuse." Ako replied, causing Bell to laugh.
"Ahem…. Ako Winner!" Sect master Tian yelled out. This meant Ako was now in the finals.
Twenty minutes later….
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe next match started, and not even thirty seconds into it. "Winner Sara!" Sara was standing on Tim's stomach in a victory pose while Tim wondered where his cute little sister who used to hang on to him all the time went.
