Chapter 338 The Dark Sun
The remaining six individuals who held carefree expressions moments ago now stood stunned, eyes wide open as they watched the three decapitated bodies vanish, being teleported to a place unknown.
Alex planned to use his newly improved control over soul energy from the start to not only take out some threats but also to set the stage to end the battle.
Alex could use the soul pulse skill only once, but the individuals he was fighting against didn't know that, and that was enough to put fear in them to not get near him without agreeing on a plan, giving him enough time to execute the skill he created from darkness and bring an end to this battle.
Alex had created two skills just like Erebus, one from chaos being his chaos wings and another from the darkness element, which he named The Dark Sun.
Alex held a smile like taunting the remaining six individuals to approach him as he created an expanding field of darkness.
Alex watched as the dragonkin lady gave her thoughts on what happened, easily guessing the skill he used was a metal attack and possibly a soul-based attack.
She also shared how, at best, Alex could use it once or twice more before he gassed out and also shared that it probably has a small range and also some preparation time.
She followed with how they could easily counter it by engaging from a distance, but that would prolong the battle and give Alex time to use other skills, possibly another soul skill, to claim their heads one by one.

She looked at everyone one by one, receiving affirmative nods from the group, and then she stepped forward, with her aura going wild and green crystalline scales beginning to emerge, covering her pristine skin like a formidable battle armor.
While she explained her plan, Alex used his sword to channel his mana and started creating the magic circles and runes needed to cast his second skill, camouflaging everything with the field of pitch darkness that stretched to fifty meters of surrounding.
Alex observed as the five individuals spread out, their focus solely on him, oblivious to the expansive magic circle materializing before their eyes.
Meanwhile, the Dragonkin lady underwent a complete transformation, with her body encased in a protective armor of scales, her wings expanded in size, and her claws elongated, transforming her into a formidable predatory beast.
"Your observation is good, but you missed one crucial point, being that I don't need to rely on soul skills to kill all of you," Alex said, as the magic circle expanding for ten meters pulsed with mana, illuminating every circle and hundreds of runes through the hazy veil of darkness.
"The Dark Sun"
Alex said as a silent hum echoed through the surroundings, and like sensing the danger, the dragonkin lady vanished and appeared above the field of darkness, her battle axe pulsing wing mana as she prepared to swing it.
"Too Late," Alex said as his sword met the battle axe in a thundering collision, instantly getting overpowered and sending him sliding back, but that small moment of disruption was all it took for the magic circle to vanish and the skill to take effect.
Alex used his wings to take control as he moved back while the dragonkin lady zoomed toward him, knowing there was nothing she could do to stop the skill.
Alex clashed with the lady, using his superior speed and chaos wings to move closer to others, waiting for the skill to take form.
As the magic circle vanished, darkness started to manifest out of thin air and gather and condense at a singular point in the sky, about sixty meters above.
In moments, the ambient darkness created an ominous and concentrated sphere of pitch darkness that expanded rapidly, and in less than ten seconds, it grew to an impressive five feet in diameter.
The surface of this sphere emitted a subtle and faint dark glow, giving it an eerie appearance, and as ten seconds ended, the sphere began to radiate darkness.
The darkness swiftly expanded outward like an intangible force, and within moments, the surrounding area, stretching up to three hundred meters in all directions, both above and below, yielded to the encroaching abyss of pitch darkness.
The dense, impenetrable darkness continued to grow in intensity, creating an environment where visibility was reduced by the moment, and other phenomena were rapidly emerging.
"Leave the Darkness Area Now," The dragonkin lady roared as she felt the effects of the surrounding darkness.
'As if I'll just let you escape,' Alex thought as he used a phantom walk to disappear.

Alex knew that he would need some time to kill the five of six individuals in the bound of darkness, and to stop them from escaping, he needed to keep them busy.
The darkness produced by the Dark Sun had several effects, beginning with rendering normal vision almost useless as it not only blinded an individual but also continuously consumed the mana to maintain itself, making it extremely challenging to use mana sense.
The darkness itself was extremely corrosive, being capable of affecting the fifth Rank individuals, and the dark sun also created a substantial gravitational pressure, creating a heavy and oppressive atmosphere within its sphere of influence.
While also having the ability to almost remove any noise, making the three hundred meters of darkness a perfect area to be called a silent prison, with the only downside being that it had no barrier stopping someone from leaving except Alex himself.
In essence, the Dark Sun is a multi-faceted skill that combines disruptive elements, corrosive forces, and sensory interference, and even though not strong enough to kill, all its traits made it a potent enough skill that could give Alex an edge in a battle against even a large number of strong individuals.
'Darkness Chains' 'Darkness Coffin'
Alex used his eyes, the ancient, to keep watch over every individual, and seeing three of five individuals dashing to leave the darkness, he picked one as a target while putting his entire focus on binding the other two for the next few seconds.
Alex could easily mold the surrounding darkness to the desired forms he had learned through his training, and now, inside the prison he had built, there was no way he was going to let any of the five individuals leave this place alive.
As Alex approached closer to the night elf, he saw she had a barrier of shadows around her that was keeping the darkness out while she firmly held two curved long daggers, keeping her eyes peeled for an ambush.
So, without a moment of delay, he appeared next to the barrier, creating an opening using his sword and then controlling the surrounding darkness as tendrils to rip the barrier apart, and by now, the dark elf daggers were reaching for his neck.
Alex used his chaos wings to defend while he controlled the darkness to attack legs with chains and spikes, and like a shadow, she moved, evading attacks as she sliced everything that came at her while also ripping apart his wings.
