155 Ch. 155 Who Hates Who?
That evening, after everyone had rested in their respective rooms, Richard immediately asked his wife about the little incident in the living room.
“Xia Xia, are you going to explain to me what happened just now?”
“What?” Anxia put on an innocent face when she asked her husband back.
“It’s useless for you to put on your mask. I already know all your different kinds of masks, so you can’t fool me.”
“Who wants to fool you?” Anxia wrapped her arms around Richard’s waist as she raised her head to look at her husband with puppy eyes. “I will not dare to trick my husband.”
“Why are you causing trouble?”
“I’m not.” Anxia still denied it even though Richard kept bugging her.
“You accidentally spilled your tea on Michele’s clothes.”
“No. I didn’t do it on purpose. You don’t believe me?”
.....
“I want to, but you make it hard for me to believe you.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAnxia let go of her hug and stepped back away from her husband. Her face no longer showed an adorable sulking look but a straight irritated face. “So… you’re going to defend her? Who forgot to inform me of her coming in the first place?”
“Okay, I was wrong, and I already admit it. But at least―”
“At least what? You expect me to be nice and sweet and then let her do whatever she likes to ridicule me?”
“When did she ridicule you? I don’t think you two even spoke before he approached you?” Richard exhaled a tired sigh at his unreasonable wife. “Xia Xia, you’re not thinking straight. Do you think I’m going to let her taunt you? I let her come to you because I didn’t feel any hatred coming from her. She wanted a truce, and you ruined it.”
“Did you buy it? Did you believe in her more than you do in me?”
“Xia Xia,”
“I’ve said this before. If you genuinely care about girls other than me, why keep me? You can marry her instead of me.”
“QIAO ANXIA!! You’ve crossed the line!”
For a few moments, neither of them made a sound and just looked at each other with their faces red from blaring rage. This was their first fight since Anxia had accepted Richard into her life. Anxia felt disappointed and hurt because, as far as she could remember, Richard never snapped at her even though the man was furious.
Anxia decided to leave this room before her emotions exploded and did something she would regret.
“Where are you going?” Richard held his wife’s hand to prevent her from leaving but was slapped down harshly by Anxia.
“I don’t want to see your face!” Anxia walked with big strides out of the room.
Richard brushed his brown hair roughly with both hands as soon as the bedroom door closed again, feeling helpless in the current situation.
On the other side, in Raymond’s room...
“I saw it,” stated Raymond after tucking Eugene into the cot next to his bed.
“What did you see?”
“You deliberately tripped Anxia earlier.”
“You saw it wrong.” Michele didn’t dare to look her husband in the eye and turned her head away.
“Michelle,”
“Okay, I tripped her. She started it first.”
“She accidentally spilled her drink on you.”
“You don’t know her as well as I do. I know she did it on purpose.”
Oh? This was the first time he had heard his wife admit to knowing Anxia. “Did she now? So you admit you know my sister-in-law?” Raymond wrapped his arms around Michele’s stomach and hugged her from behind. “Was your relationship that bad in the past?” Raymond kissed the nape of his wife’s neck seductively while asking, making Michele unable to stand on her feet.
“No. Our relationship was beyond amazing,” came the answer in the middle of the pleasure sigh.
“What’s changed?” Raymond’s kiss spread upwards, and now he was biting Michelle’s earlobe with small bites while ‘interrogating’ his wife.
“I…” Michele couldn’t concentrate as Raymond hit on her and seduced her with his sensual mouth. She knew that if she let Raymond take over her mind and body, sooner or later, she would reveal everything that Anxia had done to her.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmMichele still wanted to hide it from her husband. If necessary, she would take this secret to her grave. She didn’t know what made Richard marry Anxia, ??nor did she know whether their marriage was based on love or whether there was some unknown agreement.
If in case, the two married for love, Michele did not want to be the one who destroyed the happiness of her husband’s twin brother. That was why she didn’t want to tell Raymond and Richard about everything Anxia had done to her.
Michelle had no family since Master Yu killed her parents before her eyes, and she was sold into a brothel. She didn’t want to ruin the Calvins family by exposing Anxia’s past to them.
After she met Raymond and became his wife, Michele felt she had found her family again― a father, mother, and even an older brother and younger sister were now her in-laws.
Michele was afraid of losing everything, so she decided not to tell her husband. She let go of her husband’s embrace and turned to face her husband, forcing Raymond to end his pleasure on the skin of her neck and ears.
“Rei, I’m going to get some fresh air for a bit.”
“I’ll keep you company.”
“Please, I’d like to be alone.” Michele gave her best pleading eyes to make Raymond couldn’t help but grant her wish.
“Okay, but don’t make me sleep alone tonight.”
Michele smiled in response to her husband’s inciting response. “Okay. I’ll be back before you sleep.”
After gently patting her husband’s chest, Michelle left the room after wearing her thick coat. Then she walked towards the swimming pool located in the middle of the house. Realizing that no one was there, Michele breathed a sigh of relief and then sat down on a lounge chair by the pool.
She closed her eyes as her mind raced back to where Qiao Anxia had come to Wong’s residence for the first time.
The kid looked so cute and cuddly. Born as the only child in her family, Michele wanted to have a younger sibling. And having a little sister like Qiao Anxia was something she felt grateful for.
However, no one expected that someone deliberately sent Anxia into their life as a spy. The little spy told everything about the Wongs to Master Yu― about Michele’s father’s schedules or the major project he handled.
Such a harmless tiny little kid could eradicate all of the Wong family.
Master Yu was clever in dispatching a child-like Anxia so that neither Michele’s father nor her father’s right-hand man would suspect Anxia. Instead, they treated Anxia very well for three years without knowing that the ‘harmless’ child had stolen important information and passed it on to Master Yu.
It should be Michele who hated Anxia to the bone and not the other way around. Anxia was the one who took everything Michele loved as if life was something insignificant.
