Chapter 139
“You can never be too sure.” Sadie shrugged, her volce low and confessional. “Mr. Smith has a love child from a
fling he had years ago.”
That was treading into the murky waters of personal secrets. Natalie caught the hint and didn’t prod any further.
“Anything else you wanna know, Natalie?” Sadle couldn't help but ask, her curiosity piqued.
“No, that's all. Go get srest, it's way past midnight,” Natalie replied softly.
Sadie found it odd that Natalie didn’t inquire about how Nate had been doing these past few years, but then
again, considering the bad blood between Brian and Natalle, maybe it was best not to stir up sad memories.
After one last glance at Natalie, Sadie turned and left the room without another word.
Once alone, Natalie's gaze lingered on the envelope stuffed with photos before a flicker of malice crossed her
eyes. She grabbed her purse, which Sadie had brought up earller, and rummaged through it to find a compact
mirror. Sliding the mirror aside, she retrieved a tiny SIM card hidden within.

She charged her phone, powered it up, and inserted the secret SIM card. The contacts list held only a handful of
numbers. Natalie dialed one and waited patiently for an answer.
“Yeah?” A groggy voice answered after several seconds.
“It’s me,” Natalie said, her voice even.
“Great, at 2:30 in the morning! If it wasn’t you, I'd have torn anyone else a new one!” The man on the other end
was irritated.
“You sound a bit cranky, Caleb,” Natalie chuckled lightly.
“I haven't slept for like three days, so spit it out!” Caleb barked.
“What's got you so busy? You're usually the king of slackers,” Natalie teased...
“Why the hell do you care so damn much?!” Caleb, trying not to wake up the woman next to him. rolled out of
bed and stepped onto the balcony.
After sliding the balcony door shut, he couldn't resist muttering. “Women, such a pain in the
ass!”
Caleb was a typical playboy, born into a family that hadn’t worried about money for generations. He had a
reputation for never dating the swoman twice in a year.
Natalie had first crossed paths with Caleb while on a Regal Reavers mission at the base, catching him in the act
of flirting with a gorgeous journalist.
But from his tone, it sounded like sformidable woman had finally gotten the best of him.

“Out with it,” Caleb said tersely. “My life’s yours, whatever you need, consider it done,”
Natalie had once inadvertently saved Caleb, and that was her secret to winning over his loyalty, “Has your
mother approved any projects with Gracia in them in the past couple of months?” Natalie asked quietly.
“Letcheck.” Caleb strode to the adjacent study and fired up his computer. In a few minutes, he replied,
“Yeah, there are two, each sent back for edits once already.”
“Could you send them back again unless they recast Gracia,” Natalle instructed coolly. “These directors are bold
to work with a tax-evading scandal-hit actress.”
Caleb raised an eyebrow and nodded, “Fair point.”
“That's it, then. Go get ssleep.” Natalie said, ready to hang up.
As she was about to disconnect, Caleb quickly added, “Oh, about those design blueprints from last time, my dad
is really impressed. He wants to meet you, the architectural genius, in person.”
Both Truth Group and Global Entertainment’s new headquarters were masterpieces designed by Natalie herself,
with the latter featuring in top international architectural magazines.
