Chapter 1037 Unrepentance
"The dinner is ready. We can..."
Before Elisa could finish her sentence, she was cut off by the cold and indifferent Gareth, "I'm not in the
mood to have dinner with you." He said before walking upstairs.
Her smile froze at his words, and Gareth didn't even bother to spare a glance at her.
His gaze flickered as he reflected on this memory. Elisa had frantically put away something at his
appearance as if she didn't want him to see whatever she was doing.
The thing that she hid from him looked like a design sketch.
"Garry?" Monica's voice jolted Gareth back to reality.
She had been observing her son and noticed his mood swings. Monica asked, "What are you
thinking?"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Nothing," Gareth said lightly.
Darren gazed at Gareth again and asked, "What will you do about this situation?"
Gareth snorted coldly, "Their cooperation has been set. Rene refused to work with me, so what else
can I do?"
The truth was that…
Gareth hadn't a clue that Elisa had poured her heart into making and designing things for him before
their divorce occurred. Perhaps it was a fickle fate. Elisa was forlorn and decided to stop investing her
mind and soul into Gareth after being hurt by him countless times.
Similarly, she had no intention of aiding Darcey Group, the rival company of Wickam Group.
This was why the two had been seeking to collaborate with Rene but to no avail.
Darren suddenly ceased talking.
However, Julia sneered coldly, "We'll see if Liz turns out to be Rene Caovilla. See if you'll regret it when
the time comes!"
"Regret?! There's no need to regret if she really is Rene Caovilla! Has she contributed anything after
marrying into the Wickam family? If she truly is Rene, there's more reason for her to cooperate with us.
But has she designed any drafts for us? So, stop making a fool out of yourself!"
Although earlier Darren had refrained from refuting Julia, his disgruntlement against Elisa and Julia's
harsh accusations had unfurled his pent-up frustrations.
Julia laughed aloud in exasperation, "You have the cheek to say that! If it weren't for your exploitation
of her in the beginning, how could she have ignored and shunned you? If you want others to be good to
you, you must do good unto others first! You insisted on Garry and her divorce from the beginning! How
could she not be disheartened?! How could she not be desperate and still have the mood to design
sketches for you? Her husband and only reliance left her for another woman. Now, tell me if she would
be in the mood to please you?!"
Julia lashed out at Darren unreservedly. But the more she said, the more resentful she felt towards
Gareth. She couldn't fathom why Gareth would let down a good woman like Elisa. He was foolish
enough to neglect her and be subservient to that wicked woman. Her grandson wouldn't have done
something terrible like this if not under bad influence.
It was all Darren's fault!
Thinking of this, Julia couldn't help but retort again, "It's all your fault! You've manipulated and led him
astray!"
"What has it got to do with me?! All I did was tell the truth! Elisa came to us with a motive. That's the
truth, and that's all!" Darren boasted shamelessly.
Julia almost fell to her feet at Darren's incorrigible self-righteousness, "Then why did you agree to their
marriage in the first place? Weren't you fond of them and supported their marriage then?!"
