Dilan knew that the Essence Crystals were a little bit larger in size, but it was not actually worth mentioning.
Most Monsters had larger Essence Crystal than intelligent races. It allowed them to absorb more Essence and reinforce their body to a higher degree. In exchange, they weren't able to wield as many abilities, whether active or passive.
Mythical Creatures such as Rory, and the Red Dragon, were exceptions but the same rule usually applied to everyone.
Thus, the size of the Essence crystals in front of Dilan could be considered a great indicator that the Monsters who had once harbored the Essence Crystals were extremely powerful.
But that confused the Demi Gods even more because they heard from Ben and the others how strong the Blood Orcs had been. In fact, Oliver's report from a while ago was already enough for everyone to understand that the Blood Orcs were not to be taken lightly.
This was just highlighted once again with the appearance of the 112 Essence crystals.
"We have also a bunch of Essence Crystals from the Blood Orc Champions, use my share if you need it…though I don't know what you're trying to do," Rory said, emptying her spatial ring as well.

"Didn't she say Blood Orc Champions? So these Essence crystals are at the fourth Tier…but why are they smaller than the Essence crystals Dilan dropped? Did he take the Essence crystals from the stronger monsters to make it seem as if he is stronger than Rory? Is he trying to win our favor like that?" One of the more suspicious Demi Gods wondered. He spoke his thoughts out loud, without paying any attention to the people around him until he noticed that someone blocked his sight from the Essence crystals.
"Wha-...." He could only say, unable to start cursing when Rory had already appeared in front of the Demi God. Her right hand had turned into a small human-sized dragon claw, and she was clenching the Demi God's throat while lifting him in the air.
"Why are you spouting bullshit whenever I see you? Is that just your stupid brain speaking, or are you actually retarded? Nobody asked for your opinion, so shut your foul mouth and speak only when someone asks!" Rory's eyes turned serpentine once again and her hair fluttered lightly as flames exuded from them.
Rory looked pretty impressive right now, especially frightening at that. Even Dilan couldn't help but feel like that. He could tell that Rory was a pretty good ruffian, even if he didn't really favor her impulsive behavior.
Sometimes it was good to be impulsive, that was something Dilan had to acknowledge. Unfortunately, Rory was very good at choosing the wrong time to be impulsive and to show off her bad temperament.
"Rory…" Dilan spoke quietly and Rory understood very clearly what he was about to say.
She was about to retort to Dilan and come up with several excuses when she saw that he looked at her without any emotions mirrored in his eyes.
This was enough for the Red Dragon to stay silent, put down the Demi God and step back once again.
"I don't know your name, but I hope you can excuse Rory's behavior. Everyone here nearly died not too long ago. Fighting a bunch of Blood Orc Apostles with a dense sub-bloodline of a Titan wasn't really pleasant, especially since all of them were in possession of the Mark of a God.
I am not sure if you understand what that means but the size of these 12 Essence Crystals should show you quite clearly that the Blood Orc Apostles were troublesome opponents," Dilan spoke in a calm and rational tone.
He didn't say that he killed them and he wouldn't do that later either. Though, he was willing to give them small hints.
"The Essence crystals belong to me, including those from the 100 Blood Orc Shamans. As for the reason they belong to me, you can imagine whatever you want. But I give you a small hint…I give whether you see me in a favorable light or not!" Dilan's tone changed slowly and his eyes turned crimson before faint bloody red currents emerged from his body at the end.
He wanted to startle the Demi God with a sudden change of the tension in the room and that had worked out pretty well. The other independent Demi Gods were also a little astonished about Dilan's drastic change. It made their heart beat faster…in fright at that!
A newly advanced Tier-4 Ascender could make them feel fear, just like that…without using a trace of mana!
That was not normal, and the Demi Gods understood one thing even clearer than before; Dilan was not as ordinary, let alone weak as they thought.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIt was like a monster was hiding deep inside the body of the young-looking man, a very old monster…
"Either way…" Dilan mumbled, turning his attention back to the Queen's Image.
"I don't know how many Ascenders are willing to undergo the Basic Combat Training Simulation, but I guess I will make sure that everyone in the Undying Group will have to enter the Simulation room for a few hours a day.
It might take most Ascenders a few months before everyone understands the fundamental points of the Basics but that's to be expected."
Dilan would love to force everyone to undergo proper Combat Training until the basics were engraved in their bones. Unfortunately, forcing someone to do something they hated to the core was not helpful. They wouldn't learn anything and waste the energy that had to be used to supply the simulation room.
Nonetheless, Dilan hoped that the members of the Undying Group would understand what he was trying to do.
Nobody underwent proper combat training and it was time to change that!
"Who…is allowed to use these rooms?" The same nosy Demi God from earlier asked while touching his neck.
Rory was just about to beat him up again as she had promised earlier, but Dilan lifted his hand with a faint smile.
"Everyone willing to improve their technique is allowed to use the Combat Training Simulations!"
