Chapter 61 Confession

Julian looked at Annalise gently and said, “You’re amazing, you know?”

“What’s wrong?” Annalise looked at Julian in confusion.

She had mixed feelings. Was he trying to comfort her?

She had heard everything the women downstairs said just now.

They thought that she was a bumpkin who grew up in the countryside and knew nothing. Little did they know that

she had already been taken in by Joseph Quigley when she was just seven years old.

Annalise smiled. “Yes.”

She had never cared about other people’s gossip.

However, she was a little happy that he comforted her so tactfully.

At least he did not think that she was useless, like what the women thought of her!

“Your excellence is something shallow people won’t understand. In the future, no matter who says something

unpleasant, don’t take it to heart. You just have to remember that you’re married to me, not anyone else. All it

Annalise looked at Julian.

Annalise quickly came back to her senses. She pushed Julian away shyly while saying, “I’ll answer the call.”

She immediately took her cell phone and went to the window to answer the call.

It was an unknown number, but she still picked it up. “Hello, who is this?”

Her cheeks and ears were burning. She reached out and touched her ears.

“Anna, it’s me!” Benjamin’s voice sounded.

Annalise felt as if a bucket of cold water had just been poured onto her. The heat inside her subsided and her

chaotic heartbeat instantly calmed down. Her expression also darkened.

She had barely thought about the past for the past two days. She had already tried her best to forget about the

past, but Benjamin called her again.

This made her originally good mood turn sour. She was not sad, but she felt frustrated and other indescribable

emotions.

She suddenly felt that she could not handle relationships well.

She had been getting along very well with Julian these days. She had already decided to try and start a new

relationship with him.

Even if the outcome might not be satisfactory, she still wanted to give it a try.

As soon as Benjamin’s voice sounded, she suddenly felt that it was disrespectful to Julian to start a relationship with

him right after she ended her last relationship.

She was about to hang up angrily.

Annalise hung up the phone in disgust.

She should have hung up the moment she heard his voice.

She thought that he would say something else, but he said the same thing again.

for dinner.”

Dinner was very lively because Samuel was present. No one dared to act rashly, so it was a relatively harmonious

dinner.

At some point, Jane started speaking Ferropenean again. She said that it was Samuel’s birthday party soon. and she

hoped that Annalise would not embarrass the Parks family, lest they felt embarrassed as well. Jessy said that unless
