Chapter 60
At downstairs of the Angle Group.
Many reporters were gathered there, as well as some onlookers.
Grace locked the car door and strode to the front door of the company.
She was alone, but she had the aura as if being followed by fifty people.
The reporters had been waiting for a long time. When they saw Grace, they rushed to her.
One by one, the microphones were handed to her, and the shutters kept clicking. The scene looked
much more grand compared to Nancy’s interview in the ward.
“Miss Salen, have you watched the live broadcast of this morning? What do you want to say about it?
“Is what Miss Mellis said true? She claims that she’s not a mistress, then why did you divorce Mr.
Fallen? 1 heard that you left with nothing. Did you cheat?”
“Also, docs Miss Mellis’s injury really have anything to do with you?”
These reporters threw a series of questions at Grace, hoping to get some breaking news.
Grace walked briskly toward the gate, unafraid of them.
Most of her face was covered by her large sunglasses, but her aura was unaffected.
“Excuse me, Miss Salen. The whole country is waiting for your response!” A reporter shouted.
The crowd burst into an uproar again. Many onlookers began to talk loudly and speculate about the
inside story.
Grace frowned, picked up a reporter’s microphone, and said in an irrefutable tone. “Since you want to
hear it, calm down and listen to me.”
The reporters were slightly stunned for two seconds and immediately began to ask a series of
questions.
“What’s your relationship with Mr. Fallen, please?” A reporter took advantage of the position and
pushed the microphone to her side, for fear that he would not get an answer.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“I’ve already said it on Twitter. I’ll repeat it again. We’re divorced. He has nothing to do with me now.”
Grace pushed the microphone away from her face unhappily.
Even though she was wearing sunglasses, people still felt her sharp gaze.
“Rumor has it that Miss Mellis ruined your marriage with Mr. Fallen, but you were forced to leave with
nothing after divorce. Is that true?’
“Sorry, there is nothing I can tell.”
Grace shrugged and said, “Is there any other problem? If not, I need to go. Don’t waste my precious
time.”
“Wait!” Several reporters squeezed forward again. “It’s said on the Internet that you have an affair with
Mr. Smith and got your current position only because of him. Is that true?”
“I got where I am through hard work. As for my ability, time and achievements will answer.”
Grace’s words echoed in the crowd, but couldn’t suppress people’s restless hearts.
“Then why did you find someone to attack Miss Mellis two days ago? Was it because Miss Mellis
humiliated you at the banquet?*
“Haven’t you watched her live broadcast?” Grace asked. “Where is the evidence? I have something

important to do. Excuse me.”
Seeing that she had asked them to leave, the reporters became anxious and tried to persuade her to
stay.
“You haven’t said anything yet. You can’t just leave like this? Or are you guilty?”
The onlookers also shouted and blocked the company’s gate tightly. Some of them even wanted to
take advantage of the chaos to attack her.
Before Grace could make a sound, a familiar low and magnetic male voice sounded behind her.
“You don’t need to pay the price to spread rumors. How can you hurt people at will? If you don’t have
professional ethics, put down the microphone.”
Edgar walked over unhurriedly. He frowned slightly and glanced at the crowd with disgust and
indifference.
“It’s Mr. Fallen. He’s here to support her.”
Someone recognized him and shouted.
The crowd burst into an uproar again when they saw Edgar. Everyone was shocked by his sudden.
appearance and started speculating about his purpose for coming here.
“I’m also investigating Miss Mellis’s accident.”
He took the microphone from Grace and said concisely. “I’ll give the public an explanation in five days.
The reporters who had asked the questions were so scared that they didn’t even dare to breathe, but
the disturbance in the crowd didn’t calm down for a long time.
“What are you waiting for?”
Edgar turned his head and said to Tim with a cold face.
Tim understood. He raised his arm and waved. Several bodyguards in sunglasses and black
immediately drove the crowd away.
Most people just wanted to be onlookers on the spot. They didn’t want to cause trouble, and they were
even more afraid of provoking Edgar, so they sc at tered soon.
“Thank you.”
Grace thanked him indifferently and walked to the company.
“You sound half-hearted, Miss Salen.” Edgar grabbed her wrist and said in a deep voice, “Let’s talk in
private.”
Grace wanted to refuse his invitation but failed when she saw his serious expression.
“Okay, but let’s make it short.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEdgar chose a restaurant closest to Angle Group and booked a private room.
“You may order first.”
He opened the menu and pushed it in front of her.
“I’ve had breakfast this morning.” Grace frowned as if she had thought of something and continued,
“And I remember that Mr. Fallen didn’t like to eat too much early in the morning. Have you changed
your habits so soon after you reunited with Miss Mellis?
“Just tell me the point. Don’t waste my time. Time is life. Mr. Fallen, you’re murdering me.”
Edgar’s expression looked terrible.
Looking at the impatient look on Grace, he asked, “Did you treat Patric and Tom the same way when
you had dinner with them?”
He didn’t even realize that his tone was full of jealousy.
“You are my ex-husband, remember that.”
Grace gave him a cold look and said, “We have nothing to do with each other anymore. Do I need to
tell you what my attitude is when I eat with another man? Mr. Fallen, you’re too nosy. And you don’t
deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as them.”
She paused for a moment before continuing in a sarcastic tone, “Besides, your fiancee is still lying on
the hospital bed. You should go check on her instead of worrying about my attitude.”
“You’ve changed a lot.”
Edgar stared into her eyes as if trying to see through everything about her that he didn’t know,
Grace picked up her bag and stood up from her seat. “If that’s all you want to say, excuse me.”
“Sit down.”
Edgar strode to the door and locked it.
Grace frowned and stared at him. “What are you doing?”
“Don’t worry, I won’t do anything to you.” He sighed slightly. “I want to ask you something.”
