As everyone watched Winnie being taken away by Daniel, nobody was bothered, even
though all the shareholders knew that Daniel was a pervert!
They all knew the horrible fate that Winnie was going to be facing next.
However, nobody stood up to stop what was happening.
Nobody except for a young, female assistant.
She was the only one among the crowd who rushed out.
Bravely, she ran over in front of Daniel and stopped him.
“Mr. Garland, it doesn’t seem very appropriate to abandon the shareholders in the
conference room. If Ms. Garland needs a tour around the company, I can assist her.”
Winnie did not expect anyone to come up and stop the incident. She thought that
everyone and everywhere within the Garland Group was corrupted.
As she was processing her thoughts, she could not help but look at the female assistant
again.
The latter was a beautiful woman. Winnie recognized her right away.
If she was not mistaken, Winnie had seen her photo before. She had also carefully read
through the woman’s information.
The assistant was somebody arranged to stay in Garland Group by Nathaniel.
Daniel was very dissatisfied with this person who suddenly appeared and blocked his way.
“Which department are you from? You’re fired!”
The young assistant was not shaken. “On what basis are you firing me? I didn’t do
anything wrong. If you insist on firing me, I will sue you for breaching the labor law!”
Daniel’s eyes widened, and he was rendered speechless. After being stunned for a while,
he clamored at the other senior management in the conference room, “Which department
is this woman from? Hurry and get rid of her now! If not, call security!”
Once Daniel said that, somebody immediately went over with the intention of taking the
assistant away.
The assistant did not waver. She walked over and grabbed Winnie’s other arm.
“Ms. Garland, right? Come with me. I’ll bring you out from here. If we still can’t leave, we’ll
call the police.”

Winnie flashed a gentle smile and suddenly leaned over to hug the young woman. She
then whispered something into the assistant’s ear.
After hearing what Winnie said, the young assistant was stunned on the spot. “You…”
Up until the point where the assistant was being chased away, she still hadn’t regained
her senses.
When Ms. Winnie from the Garland family was missing last time, she was on the news. The
whole nation knows that she is dumb. However, she didn’t seem to be dumb at all just
now. Not only is she not dumb, she even knows her own name. She even asked me to give
the boss, Nathaniel, a call to report this incident. Who on earth is she? She even knows my
background!
Nathaniel’s office was not far from Garland Group. It was located just a few floors below
them.
Therefore, within five minutes, Nathaniel managed to rush over.
When he arrived, the senior management of Garland Group was not doing much in the
conference room. They were either murmuring among themselves or looking at their
phones.
Only Hamish was staring at the door leading to a smaller conference room next to them.
Behind that closed door, a tragedy was happening in broad daylight.
Occasionally, a woman’s cry and a man’s lewd laughter were heard from the room.
Nathaniel was in disbelief.
How could something so absurd be happening under broad daylight? Furthermore, so
many people are sitting in this conference room, allowing it!
“Is it here?” Nathaniel asked the young woman behind him as he pointed toward the door
where the noise was coming from.
“Yes.” The young assistant immediately nodded. Although she was hesitant, she still
answered.
“Everybody knows that Ms. Winnie from the Garland family is dumb. Her father was the
one who sent her here. Since nobody here is helping her, she could only ask me for help.”
The young assistant was unsure if she should inform her boss there and then that Winnie
was actually not dumb.
After some consideration, she thought she could tell her boss later. After all, the most
crucial task currently was to save Winnie from the hands of the pervert, Daniel.
“Mr. Quinn, please help Ms. Garland.”
Nathaniel’s Chanaean surname was Quinn. That was why the young woman addressed
him as Mr. Quinn.
With a serious look on his face, Nathaniel furrowed his brows and loudly slammed the
conference room door.
As a matter of fact, Nathaniel was about to take over Garland Group in about two hours. In
other words, he was going to be one of the new owners of Garland Group.
Very soon, this will be his territory. Thus, he would not allow such despicable behavior to
happen under his care.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Nathaniel smacked the door loudly.
However, nobody from the room responded. Hamish, who was guarding the door, stood
up.
The selling of Garland Group was largely due to Daniel and Nathaniel keeping in contact
secretly.
However, Hamish was kept in the dark.
Therefore, Hamish had no idea of Nathaniel’s identity.
Hamish only knew he wanted his cousin to have a good time, and he would not let
somebody else ruin it.
Thus, when he saw Nathaniel knocking on the door, the former immediately stood up and
stopped Nathaniel.
“You’re not someone from Garland Group, right? I’ve never seen you before. You have no
right to come to the conference room of Garland Group. Please leave now. Or else, I’ll have
to call for security.”
Nathaniel knew how to speak Chanaean. Adrunian blood was flowing in him, so he
naturally had a big, strong body build. He threw a punch, and Hamish’s nose was bleeding
from the hit.
“You b*stard! The people inside are your own daughter and cousin. You’re not interested in
ethics and morals, so you have no right to lecture me here,” Nathaniel said in fluent
Chanaean.
Hamish staggered backward after being punched. He did not expect that he had come to
a point whereby anyone could insult him.

Hamish raised his fist, preparing to give this foreigner a good beating.
At that moment, a loud noise that sounded like an animal being butchered was heard from
the conference room behind the door. The noise was so sharp that it could pierce through
one’s ear drums.
Hamish could tell that it was his cousin, Daniel, screaming.
When he heard the latter cry so pitifully, he knew something was wrong. He immediately
pushed away Nathaniel, who was standing in front of him, and rushed into the room.
Nathaniel followed closely behind.
The other senior management and shareholders from the conference room next door also
headed over and surrounded the place.
There was a big table in the conference room that was blocking the view of the audience.
However, once the crowd walked into the room, they could see Daniel curling up and
moaning on the floor, and a certain part of his lower body was bleeding non-stop.
Beside him was a pool of blood, and next to the pool of blood was his dumb niece standing
with her hair all over the place.
Her fair forehead had a few drops of blood, while her hand was holding a thin letter
opener.
Such letter openers were usually found on the conference tables of Garland Group as they
were used to open letters.
However, this was the first time it was used to castrate another person after so many
years!
The crowd at the scene did not seem to think it was a horrifying scene. Since Daniel was
too perverted, it was expected of him to have such consequences one day.
Everyone looked like they had a silent agreement on not noticing what had happened.
They had a cold appearance, the same one when Winnie was being taken away earlier.
Only Hamish walked over furiously and grabbed Winnie’s hand.
He questioned angrily, “What are you doing? Do you know you’re getting me into deep
trouble?”
Hamish even wanted to hit Winnie.
However, his slap did not reach Winnie’s face as he intended it to.
That was because the blood-covered letter opener in Winnie’s hand had reached his throat
before he could do so.
