Just as Audrey sent the message, the doorbell rang. She quickly put down her phone and opened the door,
Standing at the door were Ryan and Dallas, Dallas stood silently before a large suitcase, still pouting.
Ryan gently patted Dallas‘ head and said to Audrey, “Dallas misses you; and
coincidentally, | have nothing else to do these days.”

“I think our previous speculation might be wrong.” Dallas pondered. “It doesn’t seem like Mommy and that man
are fighting. | think Mr. Lambert Senior just doesn’t approve of Mom being with him. Keep it quiet for now and

“Got it. Leave it to me!” Lily made an OK gesture and asked quietly, “Dallas, what do you think of Daddy?”
Dallas pursed his lips and didn’t say anything.
Lily giggled. “Dad's pretty good, isn’t he? He tells bedtstories at night to helpsleep, and he’s really
strong!”
“You be good and stay with Mr. Lambert Senior and Mrs. Lambert Senior. Remember to callif anything
happens.” Dallas reminded Lily.
