Chapter 13 Chapter Thirteen After the last bell rang, I was desperate to escape. The day had been grueling, with the constant stares, whispers, and the boys hovering aroundlike shadows. All I wanted was to go home, hide in my cabin, and drown out the world.

As I unlocked my bike, Savannah approached me, her curly blonde hair bouncing as she jogged over.

"Hey, Stormi," she said, flashinga smile.

"Hi," I said, trying to sound more upbeat than I felt. Savannah was one of the few people who didn't treatbadly from the very beginning.

"Rough day?" she asked, leaning against the bike rack.

I nodded, adjusting the strap of my bag. "You could say that. I just want to-" Before I could finish my sentence, the air shifted. I felt them before I saw them.

The sound of footsteps approaching madetense. Savannah turned her head, her expression shifting to one of caution. "Uh, Stormi..." I looked up, and there they were. Elijah, Isaiah, and the Vandabelt twins strode toward us with purpose, their presence commanding as always.

I groaned inwardly.

"What do you want now?" I snapped, gripping my bike handle tighter.

Elijah stopped in front of me, his golden eyes scanning my face. "We need to talk." "About what? I think you've said enough," I replied coldly.

Austin stepped forward, his smirk infuriatingly smug. "Oh, it's not a request, little mate." I shot him a glare, my wolf stirring in irritation. "Don't callthat Savannah glanced between us, her brow furrowed. "Stormi, I needed help with shomework but we can talk later" "No, it's fine.....," I said quickly, not wanting her to go.

Before I could react, Alex moved to my side and grabbed my bike.

"What are you-" "We're giving you a ride," Elijah said, his tone firm.

"I don't want a ride!" I protested, my voice rising. "Let go of my bike" Alex ignored me, lifting the bike effortlessly and walking it toward the jeep.

"You can't just-" Before I could finish, Austin grabbed me.

1/3 Chapter Thirteen "Letgo!" I screamed, squirming in his grip.

Austin chuckled, his voice low and amused. "Stop moving, little mat or I might drop you." I kicked out, but his grip didn't falter. He carriedlike I weighed thing, heading straight for Elijah's jeep.

"Putdown!" I yelled, twisting in his arms.

"Gladly," Austin said, opening the door and placingin the back stat.

Before I could scramble out, Isaiah slid in next to me, blocking my exit. Austin climbed in after him, pullingonto his lap.

I froze, my cheeks burning as I felt the hard press of his body against mine.

"Stop squirming," he said, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Unless you plan to finish what you started." I stiffened, my mortification quickly replaced by anger. As I felt something hard poking me.

"You're disgusting," I hissed, glaring at him.

Austin smirked, unfazed.

"Enough," Elijah said sharply from the driver's seat. "Austin, behave yourself." Alex climbed into the passenger seat, and I turned my glare on him.

"Where's my bike?" I demanded.

"In the back," Alex said casually.

"Takehome," I said firmly. And Elijah started the engine. The ride was quite. I glanced out the window, my heart pounding as the familiar turn to my cabin cinto view. Relief flooded me. But Elijah drove past it without hesitation. "Stop the car!" I shouted, panic rising in my chest." Where are you taking me?".

"We're not going to your haunted cabin," he said calmly. (His eyes m meeting calmly meeting mine in the rearview mirror.

I frowned, my stomach sinking. "Haunted? What do you mean? And where are you taking me?" "The Alpha wants to talk to you," Isaiah said, his voice surprisingly gentle.

I blinked, confused. "Why?"

Elijah's hands tightened on the steering wheel. "Someone from the Umbral Society is here to see you."
