After getting separated from Tang Qiaolian, Lei Zhen checked out of his private room and began making his way toward the Adventure Guild.
He had managed to complete a quest that he had previously taken on the way back with Tang Qiaolian. So now was the time to claim his reward and earn some money in the meantime.
Of course, Tang Qiaolian had offered to give him some money, but he refused to take it for granted.
He already received a lot of help from Tang Qiaolian and he could not accept any more of her help when he had provided nothing in return. People might call him dumb for not taking it, but he does not want to be a soft-rice king.
A soft-rice king is defined as a man that continued to receive monetary support from women despite having the ability to work himself.
Since he was perfectly capable of working hard himself, he would refuse to accept further help. Otherwise, he might as well just stop playing Magnolia if he needed to rely on help constantly.
Sometime later, Lei Zhen arrived at the Adventure Guild, and the interior inside was crowded as always.
The only difference was the new topic that people were discussing compared to previously.
"Hey, did you hear about the new dungeon appearance?"
"Of course, I've heard of it. Only those who are living under a rock would not know that 10 of the guilds in the top 100 had failed to conquer it even in the easy mode difficulty."
"Indeed, even the television news is broadcasting about it and that the top guilds are trying to form a temporary alliance to complete the new dungeon together."

'A new dungeon appearance? Maybe this is why Qiaolian is in a rush to return.' Lei Zhen thought to himself when he heard the conversation.
Alas, there was nothing else he could do to assist them with his pathetic level.
The reality was harsh and as of his current ability, rashly going to assist Tang Qiaolian would actually result in him hurting her instead.
Shaking his head, Lei Zhen started to walk toward the receptionist.
The receptionist at the desk was still the same person that previously assisted him, Thalia Frost.
"Hello, have you completed your quest, or have you come here to cancel the quest?" Thalia Frost greeted and smiled.
Despite her kindness, her words seemed to be the opposite given how she was expecting him to fail his quest.
"Did I really look that weak?" Lei Zhen asked in a bewildered tone. "Here's the part of the monsters that were demanded in the quest."
Taking out the part of the monsters from his inventory, he then placed them neatly on the desk for her to see.
A look of surprise was shown in Thalia Frost when she saw the quality of the monster's part that Lei Zhen had revealed.
She picked one up and turned it left and right with her hand, "This quality is one of the best I've seen that an adventurer had brought in."
"So can I receive the reward for my effort already?" Lei Zhen asked. "I'm kind of in a hurry to someplace else."
As much as he wanted to earn a good rapport with Thalia Frost, his current condition does not allow him to take it slow. Until his problem regarding experience points had been solved, he would remain low-level and useless.
So what if his class is overpowered?
None of that matters if you're low-level and could only use one skill.
Seeing that Lei Zhen was somewhat impatient, Thalia Frost became a bit nervous.
'Was it because of my doubt that offended him?' She wondered silently.
To be honest, when Lei Zhen accepted the quest and didn't have a party with him, she really didn't expect he could actually complete the quest, much less give such high quality materials.
If the guild master knew that she might have potentially caused a prominent adventurer to leave, then her salary being decreased would be the last thing to be worried about.
"Wait a minute, Lei Zhen. Here's a card that allows you to pay less commission when you complete a quest." Thalia Frost hurriedly said and handed over a card. The card was a bit golden, but not the shiny type that would attract attention.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen was dumbfounded to receive some benefit from her.
All he wanted was to quickly grab the reward and leave, but it seemed like she had misunderstood him.
After realizing why Thalia Frost would give him the card, Lei Zhen smiled sinisterly. He was going to teach her a lesson that she would remember forever.

Toward others that meant goodwill to him, Lei Zhen would naturally repay them with kindness as well.
However, toward those that looked down on him, he would be called a fool to let them go easily.
Just because he's an easygoing person does not mean you can bully him as you please.
"P-Please accept the card, Lei Zhen. If that's not enough, then I can also double the reward you'll receive for completing this quest." Thalia Frost said and bowed her head slightly.
When Lei Zhen gave no response, Thalia Frost was helpless.
What she reaped was what she sowed. The next time she encountered someone similar to Lei Zhen, she would remain silent and dared not say much.
With Lei Zhen being adamant about his decision, Thalia Frost could only give him the reward for the quest's completion.
"Thank you, and goodbye." Lei Zhen placed the reward in his inventory and left.
Not an ounce of regret could be seen in his eyes.
Thalia Frost may be a beauty in the eyes of many, but that doesn't mean he would forgive her.
And with the reward, Lei Zhen now has enough money to hire a carriage to bring him to Yors Castle.
The small incident with the Adventure Guild is like a wind breeze for Lei Zhen, and he had already put it aside.
Looking back at the town for a final second, Lei Zhen smiled briefly. 'Although my time in the Town of Wales is short, it was still a good experience at what Magnolia is like.'
