Haley hadn't expected Layton to be here. She had just finished her shower and hadn't even had a chance to do anything yet. She didn't expect Diana and Ellie to just barge in.
It turned out that Layton was behind all of this.
Haley glanced at the unapproachable Diana, then at the indifferent Ellie, before turning to call out to Alex at the bedside.
"If you dare say another word, I'll make sure your face never sees the light of day again." Diana threatened, raising the razor blade in her hand. Her cold, sharp gaze made Haley immediately fall silent.
Haley obediently quieted down, and only then did Diana pick up her phone and make a call.

Haley, seeing Diana had called her big brother, shifted her gaze nervously. Ellie was taken aback, confused by what she had just witnessed.
Diana had seven brothers, which was likely the source of her arrogance.
"Ms. Grant, don't you think this is getting a bit out of hand?" Ellie hesitated, then quietly pointed out.
Diana nudged Ellie with her elbow. "If I don't make a big scene, how can I get money out of this? Don't say anything. Just follow my lead.” Ellie was momentarily stunned.
Seeing Ellie's furrowed brow, Diana slyly flashed her a grin. “Hang in there. Once I get the money, I'll treat you... no, and Aaron... actually, I'll treat your whole family to a meal." Ellie was so startled that she shook her head frantically.
Diana shot a provocative glance at Haley before speaking sweetly into the phone. "Mrs. Warren, I caught Alex with another woman, and she is so bold. My poor heart is already shattered. You should cover. Patrick is on his way." Though Diana's phone wasn't on speaker, Ellie could hear Nancy on the other end telling her husband to get up and that they'd be there soon.
Haley, realizing that Diana had summoned both the Grant and Warren families, couldn't help but feel a sense of dread.
In the end, Haley grabbed her phone and called her own parents to cover.
After hanging up, Haley nervously buttoned up her shirt with trembling hands.
"Don't move," Diana ordered, lifting the eyebrow razor. She grabbed Haley by the collar and, with one swift motion, cut off the top four buttons of her shirt with the blade.

She had no way out of the bedroom, so she could only retreat to a corner, leaning against the wall, waiting for her parents to arrive, her eyes full of panic..
Diana, after checking Alex's steady breathing under the blanket, finally seemed satisfied. She pulled up a chain and sat at the bedroom door, crossing one leg over the other, gesturing to the edge of Alex's bed. "Ellie, sit down and rest a bit." Ellie glanced at Alex, still unconscious on the bed, and shook her head. "I'll stay outside." Ellie moved to the living room, her gaze landing on Layton, who was watching with interest by the door.
Layton, with a knowing smile, kindly warned Ellie. “The Grant family is on their way. You should probably stay out of sight." Ellie furrowed her brows.
Ellie remembered overhearing Diana talk about her brothers with Lacey last time. Lacey said none of those were normal. Are they even crazier than Alex?' Ellie thought to herself. To be safe, she found a corner in the living room, staying out of the way while waiting for all three families to arrive.
Though this wasn't her problem, Ellie couldn't help but feel uneasy. This was her first tbeing involved in something like this. "They're arrived." Layton's signal snapped her back to attention, and Ellie nervously turned her eyes to the door.
