Chapter 6257: Can It Be Taken Away?
Li Qiye waved and the leaf took them to the hollow part of the tree.
A terrible heat greeted them but temperature aside, their dao, laws, and vitality started burning as well. They becsubjected to the might of the high heaven. Just a simple push would cause them to enter a stage of ignition.
Anyone would lose control regardless of their cultivation or mystical merit laws. Fortunately, Li Qiye’s primordial rays wrapped around them, preventing the ignition process.
The youths heaved a sigh of relief and exchanged glances. This was just another proof of Li Qiye’s frightening power despite looking like a mortal.
As they delved deeper, they found the walls to be extremely tough. Flames still flowed and seemed to be alive, never separating from their targets and still growing. Was this the reason why the tree wasn’t reduced to ashes?
“So tough.” Princess Chen curiously threw something at the tree wall. The sound indicated toughness and the thing was burned to ashes instantly.
“Of course. Bodhi was only one step away from being an immortal. His body is certainly one of the toughest things in this world.” The monarch said.

“You need to be able to transport it first and have a weapon sharp enough to cut it down, not to mention extinguish the tribulation flames. How many can do all of this?” The monarch said.
“Bodhi Ancestor couldn’t extinguish them, let alone anyone else.” Monk Zhu answered.
“Yes, he’s far stronger than those who seek his body as materials.” The monarch laughed.
“Only Desolate Ancestor or Zhan Sansheng, and anyone on their level.” Princess Chen said.
However, those at this level had a tougher body than Bodhi Ancestor and didn’t need it.
“Haha, it’s really good though. Refining it into a weapon will result in something close to a pseudo-immortal paragon artifact.” The monarch touched it and salivated: “Definitely an epoch paragon artifact, maybe I should look more into it...”
Everyone could see he was tempted to use the corpse. Of course, this was understandable since even an imperial corpse maintained its divinity and had value as crafting materials.
Because of this, ssects chose to keep their emperors’ corpses in an available state to be used during a crisis.
This was tragic for the emperors since they protected their descendants when they were alive and continued to do so after death, albeit not of their own volition.
“Are you prepared to face Desolate Ancestor’s wrath?” Princess Chen warned.
“Haha, the heaven and earth know, you know, I know, no one else.” The monarch had thick skin.
“I would drop the idea because this tribulation flis not normal. You can’t endure it either.” Li Qiye said.
“I was just making conversation, that’s all.” The monarch smiled awkwardly before adding: “If someone can refine it along with the tribulation flame, it will be better than an epoch paragon artifact.”
“That would rather be impressive, refining the whole tree into one piece of charcoal containing all the flames. Just one ember from that would burn this whole world.” Li Qiye said.
“That’s terrifying.” Li Xian shuddered.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Haha, child, it’s because this is a tribulation during an immortal ascension. The tiniest spark could burn primal ancestors to ashes.” The monarch laughed and successfully scared the youths.
“It’s a good thing it’s not refinable.” Orchidcore murmured.
The hollow area was enormous, looking like a courtyard stretching down endlessly. The vantage point allowed them to see the structure of the tree, still ravaged by the flames. This was a testament to the tree’s tenacity, still maintaining shape across the years.
When they looked up, they saw a dreadful fiery maelstrom. The youths lost their courage and their knees buckled. They would have fallen to the ground, paralyzed, without Li Qiye’s primordial protection.
The enigmatic and hidden master, Black Witch Monarch, also shuddered once upon seeing it.
“Goddamn, and here I thought I had a good assessment of how frightening a tribulation of this level is.” The monarch’s expression changed: “The tribulation itself is no longer around but the remnant flames are still so strong. The strongest geezers currently might not be able to handle them.”
This fiery maelstrom, when out of control and roaming freely, could put an end to a world.
“I don’t think much will be left of Old World after a hit, ninety percent of lineages will disappear.” Mu Hu couldn’t maintain his composure.
“Look over there.” After the initial shock, they noticed a green strand at the center of the hollowed area.
It was as thin as a linen thread with a verdant glow, giving the impression it could push up the whole sky. Its target was none other than the eye of the maelstrom.
