Chapter 552 Clear Things Up Chloe was unsure how to respond to the message she had just received.
She hadn't planned on discussing this matter with Quinn individually, assuming that everyone would find out about it at the fireworks festival.
Seeing Chloe's hesitation, Candy chimed in: [Chloe, I know you don't feel the sway about Quinn, but we've known each other for years. It's best if you clarify things with him. I don't think he'll be unreasonable about it.] Candy was worried. She didn't want Chloe to leave things unclear and make Quinn wait in vain. If Chloe decided not to cback, Quinn could be left waiting for years, which would be unbearable for him. After a pause, Chloe finally replied: [I understand. I'll talk to him that day.] Avoiding the issue was not a solution. Since discovering Quinn's feelings for her, Chloe had been deliberately keeping her distance, avoiding one-on-one meetings whenever possible. But it wasn't fair to Quinn.
From his perspective, he was simply in love with someone, and that wasn't a crime. If Chloe didn't clear things up, it would be even more wrong.
Her avoidance might end up hurting him more.
After all these years of friendship, Chloe didn't want things to end badly now.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtMichael had a flight returning from Melbouville today. As the captain, he was responsible for greeting passengers as they boarded.
It was part of the routine, just a polite welcome.
However, when he saw Lucy, he couldn't help but show a flicker of surprise.
His gaze lingered for only a second before moving away.
Lucy was seated in the front of the business class and had not made any special requests.
The plane landed smoothly, but only then did Lucy begin to complain about feeling unwell.
A flight attendant reassured her, "Ma'am, please hold on a moment. We'll be on the ground soon, and we'll arrange for medical assistance as soon as we can." Lucy kept her head down, looking extremely uncomfortable.
The crew had prepared a wheelchair for her and intended to let her disembark first.
However, Lucy insisted she needed to rest and declined the offer of immediate medical help.
The attendants were left in a difficult position, so they let her stay in her seat. Even after all the other passengers had left, she remained there, visibly distressed.
As Michael stepped off the plane, he was met with a startling sight.
Lucy spotted him and rushed towards him, crying out, "Michael!" The surrounding crew were shocked, not expecting such a personal reaction.
Michael frowned and took a step back, causing Lucy to fall to the floor. The onlookers gasped.
"What's going on?" Michael demanded, his tone stern.

We offered alternative solutions, but she refused all of them," the flight attendant explained, looking just as bewildered. Lucy, sitting on the floor, looked pitiful. "Michael... I'm really uncomfortable. Can you helpoff the plane? You're the only one I know and trust." Her distressed tone and plea caused the nearby passengers to look at her with more curiosity.
Although Lucy had previously worked with Paramount Airlines, she had been in the engineering department, so many of the flight attendants didn't know her well.
Given how much thad passed and the new hires, it wasn't surprising they y were unfamiliar with her history with Michael.
"Why are you just standing there? Get the medical team in here to take her away immediately anything happens on this plane, we'll all be held responsible!" Michael barked.
He seemed to ignore Lucy's desperate pleas and instead directed the crew to handle the situation. Meanwhile, he straightened his wrinkled pants and stepped off the aircraft.
Lucy, now seated in a wheelchair, watched Michael's retreating figure with a sinking heart.
She thought bitterly, "After everything I've done, he still won't forgive me? He's being so cruel, not even givinga single glance!"
