Jake paused as he stopped in front of the store. He didn't know what he wanted to do with Myriad Arrows.
For a second there, he regretted finding out about him. Sometimes ignorance was bliss. It was just terrible finding out that his right hand man was actually the grandson of the chairman of another company.
Sure, Nolan tried to convince Jake that Myriad Arrows really did want to stay in Bright Horizon, but what could Jake think anymore.
He gave Myriad Arrows an Epic class, but in return, he couldn't even tell Jake the truth. Jake was truly disappointed in Myriad Arrows.
But he put all of that to rest as he walked into the store. It was jam packed still, with people coming in, some of them for the items, but many more interested in joining the guild. Its popularity was still the highest ever, and there were a lot of people coming into the city just to take a look at the most popular guild in the world.
Jake walked up the stairs, and as he did, players around him started quieting down, and looking at the man of the hour, or rather, the last day.
"That's the guild leader. He is the one who found the raid that the guild could complete." A few whispers on either side found their way to Jake's ears.
He walked up the stairs, and soon came to the second, and then the third floor. There was one person waiting right in front of the guard, at the edge of the third floor.
He was a middle aged man, no one that Jake recognized, which meant that he was either someone that didn't have any significance, or was someone with too much significance for the previous weak Jake to know about.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"You are?" Jake asked as he gestured at the guard, telling him to move out of the way.
"You must be the guild leader of this wonderful guild. I have been trying to meet you for a while, but you weren't here." He said.
"You are?" Jake asked again. He didn't respond to any questions until he knew that this was someone that he could waste his time on. For now, he just wanted to confront Myriad Arrows and ask him what his future plans on the guild were.
"Ah! I am the guild elder of the guild, Shadow King Guild. I wasn't aware of the fact that someone had actually used our guild name as a user name. We were wondering who it was, but to think that it was a guild leader himself." The man smiled.
Jake's irritated expression disappeared. He felt a surge of energy to deal with the person that was in front of him.
A smile appeared on his face. This was humoring. Someone from the Shadow King guild actually appeared in front of him.
"So you guys are named the Shadow King guild. But surely you should have known that the name was taken because you couldn't choose it in the username check." Jake asked.
"Well, the guild name was decided after the CEO of our corporation had decided it. We had intense debates about it. So is there any way that you can change your name?" this man asked.
"Sure. I can absolutely change my name." Jake nodded.
They walked into the floor now, where Myriad Arrows was sitting in Jake's spot, his eyes clearly on a chat window. He got up immediately after seeing that Jake had entered.
"Shadow Ki-"
Jake waved his hand to stop him from talking.
"You are willing to change your name? That is so great. We will be honored." The guild elder from Shadow King smiled.
"But there are a few things that I want in exchange for the name." Jake smiled once more.
"What do you want? As long as we can satisfy those conditions, we will do it." The elder nodded as fast as he could.
This was a priority task for his guild right now. The shame that someone else had the name that was their guild's name was too much. They couldn't allow it.
Jake though, was as nonchalant as one could be.
"I don't get why they want to get the name so much. I mean, even if someone had the user name, Bright Horizon, I couldn't care less. I would laugh at that person though, for using it as a username." He thought to himself as he readied the demands that he wanted.
Demands would be an understatement. What he was asking for, was a king's ransom.
"I want twenty thousand gold coins, twenty thousand gold coins worth of land in any kingdom of your choice, not an empire though, and ten blue prints, all of the rare grade, ten epic items, and… yeah. This seems enough." Jake nodded.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAlthough Myriad Arrows didn't know what was going on completely, he did know that for the things that Jake just asked for, there was no one in the world that would give him that much.
The elder stuttered.
"What is this? I thought that you wanted to give us the name. Are you trying to mess with us?" The elder stuttered.
But he wasn't talking to a lower guild like he was used to. Talk around the street was that Bright Horizon was in collaboration with Venur, Horace, and so many other companies, all of them bigger than the corporation that was backing the Shadow King guild.
Gritting his teeth, he turned around, but Jake stopped him.
"I wanted to tell you, please send that guy, Killian, my respect. I want him to know that he has a fan in the Bright Horizon guild." Jake smiled.
The elder turned around and looked at Jake weirdly, before he started bolting out of the staircase.
"Yeah. I expected him to do that. That was quick though. To think that I would come across someone from the Shadow King guild so fast." Jake thought to himself as he turned around, and faced Myriad Arrows.
"Right. I forgot about you."
