Chapter 978 Do Me a Favor
Stepping into the cabin, the warmth from the heater enveloped Jenny, and the chill that
lingered from when she was outdoors disappeared. She felt much more comfortable.
Outside, Max was still directing the workers to set up the venue. It was obvious that he
was putting a lot of effort into it, paying attention to every detail. Jenny never expected
Max to make such a huge change. He must really like Jade, which caused him to become
the man he is today.
"Say..." Alec suddenly spoke, and Jenny looked at him. "Why didn't he choose to do it
indoors? Isn't it freezing outside?"
That was a remarkably good question. Jenny didn't hurry to give an answer. Instead, she
asked him, "Then why do you think he chose today to confess to Jade?"
It was just a confession and not a proposal. The two weren't officially together yet, so Max
was jumping through hoops that day just to get Jade to agree to be his girlfriend.

particular day.
Jenny felt that Alec was sometimes smart but rather dumb at times. "Didn't he just say it?
Today is the first snow of this winter season. Don't you think it's romantic?"
"Hmm.Js it?" How was that romantic in any sense? He couldn't comprehend the logic
behind it; he just found the weather exceptionally cold.
If it were him, he would choose a warm place to confess. That way, Jenny wouldn't be
blown around by the cold wind.
"Since you don't think it's romantic, why did you wake me up so early to see the snow?"
Jenny rolled her eyes at him. He’d obviously done it because he thought the scenery at
that time was particularly beautiful, and watching the snow together with Jenny was
romantic.
Alec cleared his throat, feeling a little embarrassed. "Well, we both came from Parrington
and had never seen such a big snowfall. That was why I wanted you to see it first."
As for the rest, he really didn't think about it.
Moreover, he'd initially just intended for Jenny to get up to see the snowfall with him. As
for what happened after that, it wasn't in his plans at all.
Jenny wanted to say something but thought of Alec's personality and felt she could
understand him. After all, he wasn't someone who spent a lot of time on the internet, so
he naturally didn't understand romantic gestures that were trending.
"Everyone has different opinions. Max thinks the first snowfall of winter is romantic, so he
chooses to confess to Jade at this time," Jenny said.
Alec nodded in agreement, whispering, "Should I have taken the opportunity to confess to
you this morning?"
Jenny glared at him. "Stop dreaming. I won't agree even if you confessed anyway."
It was easy for people to lose themselves in that situation. Jenny didn't dare to imagine
what choice she would make if Alec really confessed to her.
Fortunately, he didn't confess earlier.

As they were talking, the waiter brought them hot coffee, and they sat by the window,
watching Max buzzing around like a busy bee outside.
At some point, it started snowing heavily again, making the scene even more romantic. It
looked like a scene right out of a drama. Following a ding, Jenny saw Max's message
telling her that he'd finished setting up and she could now call Jade. Without any delay,
she immediately dialed Jade's number.
"Hello, Jenny. What's up?" Jade’s voice was calm. Jenny could hear her shuffling files in the
background; she was probably busy with work.
Jenny glanced at Max standing outside before saying," Jade, are you busy right now?"
"Not really. I'm not too busy," Jade replied.
"Can you do me a favor?" Jenny asked.
A little more than ten minutes later, Jade met Jenny at the park entrance. She'd rushed
over wearing a black down jacket.
"What do you need me to help you with? You're being all mysterious about it," Jade
remarked as she got out of her car and wrapped herself in her jacket more tightly.
