Chapter 933 Eye for An Eye
"I think you may have overestimated how important I am to him. He's not an idiot. You
really think he’d cave just because you have me in hand?" It's not like Zeke would even
guarantee her safety if Alec died.
That was how she was even more certain that Alec wouldn't give up so easily.
Yet Jenny wouldn't lie and say she wasn't worried.
Zeke disagreed, however. "On the contrary, I think you're quite important to him. He might
even risk it all for you."
"Wishful thinking, sir.’ Jenny laughed gently, though she wasn't in the mood to laugh.
"We shall see then."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJenny chewed on her cheek, guessing Alec was probably on his way over right this second.
She just wasn't sure if he'd done enough preparations for the conflict.
No way would he come empty-handed, right?
In truth, Jenny pretty much guessed it right. Alec wasn't there to meet his death, but he
wasn't going to risk Jenny's life either. Hence, he’d already prepared to save Jenny, even
at the cost of his life.
Zeke closed his eyes slightly as if resting. So, Jenny turned to scan her surroundings,
watching for any openings she could use later.
A commotion soon came at the door as if someone had come. Jenny looked at it, knowing
it was most likely Alec outside.
Zeke opened his eyes, too, nodding at Jenny. "Let's go take a look, shall we?’
Jenny silently followed behind the old man, suddenly thinking she might be able to
overpower him right that second.
Yet she instantly noticed several red dots flare on her chest before disappearing. Her
sudden thought disappeared just as fast. She wouldn't be able to accomplish her plan fast
enough to prevent several finger-sized bullets from riddling her body.
Outside the door, Alec was scanning his surroundings. "Where's Jenny?" he asked, irritated
that Jenny was nowhere to be found.
"Don't you worry, Mr. Alec. Miss Walter will be here right away," The butler said, all smiles
as if Alec wasn't there to be sent to his death.
Alec scoffed, ignoring him.
Zeke soon turned up with Jenny beside him. Alec was about to walk up to her when the

"I'd advise against coming over, Alec," Zeke warned, though he still appeared as kind as
when Alec first met him.
Yet it couldn't be more apparent now that it was just an act the old man put up. In truth,
he was far crueler than anyone in the family.
"I don't understand what's happening, sir," Alec said as if he really was clueless.
Zeke ignored him, saying instead, "You know, if you hadn't hurt Xavier, I wouldn't have
even considered going to this extent."
Sure, he had never imagined letting Alec take over, but neither had he longed for the
boy's death. But when things got out of control, especially with his son's death at Alec's
hand, he really couldn't just sit by and watch on anymore.
That was why Alec needed to pay with his life today.
